I know , I know its getting repetative, but I am a bit worried. I just got a
set of gears from Wes (4:10s) And I am about to purchace KWD2's; all going
to be installed in the spring. Problem is, after reading all these threads on
the Xcal2, I'm worried I will not know what the hell to do. I am not
mechanicly inclined at all. Is it easy to fix the speedo and rpm problems
that come with the 4:10s w/ the Xcal2? Any info that will calm my mind are
welcome. :(

as long as you have the tune on your computer, you should be able to tweak it.
so,.. if you don't already have it, get a hold of whoever did your tune and have them e-mail it to you.

Have no fear!! There are safety features in the Xcal that prevent programming issues if you should happen to unplug the Xcal while uploading. The tune goes in to the PCM within a few minutes and the difference is very noticable. You tuner can send you updated files as you mod your car to make sure you dont have any shifting or speedo issues. I was very paranoid doing anything to my computer but after finally trying it and seeing how easy and safe it is to use. Im no longer worried!

If you have the Xcal 2 then go to the rpms part and using the tire calulator at
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
plug in the revs/mile number of new tires if thay differ from stock.
