Well, in another three days I will have officially owned my 300A for one full year. A lot of fun and crazy things have happened in that time and plenty of new friends.

I remember seeing a Marauder in my area late September 04, and thought I liek that car, but I thought they never built it. Next thing I know I foudn this site, the SSM group, and the videos. Yes the videos of BillyGman, leaving a 300yard burnout in the Sikorsky parking lot. Two things went through my mind 1.) that man is insane...like me 2.) I must have this car.

I picked the car up in Sarasota, FL with 3209 miles on it. I bought it sight unseen, on the recommendation from a member here, Tallboy. I've never done that before as I'm a skeptical person to start with, I defintiely did not go wrong there. Thanks again mi amigo:beer:

That was followed up nearly a month later by the SSM annual picnic. I had just got used to not having to look for my car in a parking lot, I spent the whole day forgettign which Marauder was mine, thank Ford for the RKE!

I can't remember how many meets at the Tower shops with the group I've been to, its always like meeting up with 'the boyz'. The days wrenching on cars in the garage, a swaybar for Ghost03, control arms for SoulRiot, The homeboy hookup from RoylPita (my watts link would have never gone on that easy at home!), thanks again Brian!

A great trip up to the first Orlando meet of the SSM group, with Ghost03 and Soulriot. Three black Marauders cruising at warp speed up the Turnpike is a beautiful site. Soulriots near miss with a low flying turkey....that bird will never be the same!

A fabulous picnic put on by our West Coast brothers, special thanks to Bootlegger, we love you even though your on the bottle , and do us a favor run that car once or twice to blow the cobwebs off the bottom!

How can I forget the trip to Detroit and the WDC/MV3....amazing. I had such a great time there, and the MCM crew were just above and beyond. Special thanks to Dave P, Mike Z, Paul (I still can't beleive you blocked Woodward with your car so the 50+ Marauders could get into the BK, Brilliant!), BigSlim, Jerry Barnes for his support, Donna, all the crew at Trilogy for helping out, even in the rain Saturday morning. I can't hardly forget all the other members here that I met QWKSVT (canadain beer tasty, mmmhmm), Bradley, The Teamropes, Garagemahal, BigdogJim, Hwycruiser, Logan, Defyant, how he launches that car on street tires I have no idea! the list goes on and on. I even met a few members on the way to MV3, TAF and Donny in the ATL, they know Southern Hospitality, and if Williamson brothers was open for breakfast, I would have eaten there too!

Then the fateful day in September when the Trilogy was finally bolted on to my car. I was so excited I didn't make it 20 feet out of the driveway before doing a tire shredding burnout. Oh joy! the car became a 12 second machine that can idle in traffic with the AC, drive 9+hours, run at the track all day, and be driven back 9+ hours without a single hiccup, yielding 22+mpg. And yes it did just that at SSHS5 in Atlanta. Another wonderful event put on by our brothers in arms at the SS club.

I've had the joy to participate in a few Supercharger install sessions, which is what I enjoy, the hands on wrenching. I've made a lot of friends, and a few more really good friends through this car, and this car club. And as I tell folks at work, 'yes we even have matching leather jackets"

So I close the books on the first year with my Marauder, she now has just a hair under 17K miles, so thats nearly 14K miles in one year for a non daily driver. I've had her timed officially at 12.47 @107.9mph, my goal for next year is 11.999999@(who cares its an 11 second car), and to revisit the WDC and my friends in the MCM.

Its been a busy year, and I'm looking forward to another one :D Here's a cold one for all you guys and gals out there
