I remember seeing posts on this group that our MM's weigh more than 4000 lbs, however it does not sink in until until you see it on a scale. Drove on a scale today. The reading flickered between 4480 and 4500 lbs. I told the guy at the scale that it can't be right. He said, "don't forget, that is with you in it, plus the weight of the fuel, etc". Well, the car had a half tank of fuel, and I weigh 200 lbs, so that means that it weighs 4280 lbs without me in it, but with a half tank of fuel.

More than I thought.

Not too far off. At the track this fall, with 1/2 tank of gas and me NOT in the car, it weighed 4180. That would be 4415 with me in it.

The bigger the cushion.....

...the deeper the pushin'.
You know what I mean!

(hope I got that quote right)

Other notable quotes from that song:
"I met her on Monday,
T'was my lucky Bun Day"

and my favorite (because of the double meaning):
"Big bottom...
how can I leave this behind?"

YES!!!

I actually saw them in concert on their "Break Like the Wind" tour.

I bought the DVD of the first movie a couple of years back, and after a few viewings, my oldest son (then about 2-3) was constantly putting it on the DVD player. At one point we snuck up on him and caught him on camera imitating the 'rocker' moves and poses of the guitarists. Complete with a cute little plastic guitar about 7-8 inches long with plastic strings.

And after I learned the "Tonight I'm gonna Rock You Tonight" (sic) song on guitar, he went nuts!

This is him letting loose in his Halloween costume that year, again while watching the DVD.

FYI....

Weight of a galon of gasoline:

Depends on the API gravity of the gasoline, which varies by grade and refinery. Usually, regular unleaded gasoline has a gravity of around 58 and a weight per gallon of 6.216 pounds per gallon. Premium gasoline may have a gravity of 54, or 6.350 pounds per gallon.

"It's not fat, It's musclel!"

Does everyone forget? Muscle weighs more than fat. That's all, that's why the Marauder weighs so much, they are just jacked that's what it is!:burnout:
