View Full Version : I'm a "2 Percenter", but this is so weird...

This is so weird and amazing, and all at once. I don't know how to explain it.

This is a quiz, and at the end of this quiz, you will be asked a question. Answer it immediately, spontaneously. Don't pause to think, just spit it out. Say out loud, the very first thing that pops into your mind.

This is a fun quiz, but it's kind of spooky too. Print this out and pass it around, and you'll see some amazing results. If you snip it for e-mail to friends, be sure to add to the subject line whether you are among the 98%, or, the 2%.

Now...Just follow the instructions as quickly as possible. Do not go to the next question before you have answered the present question. You do not need to remember each answer, just store them in your recent memory, but feel free to write them down if you wish. Remember to come back later and share your score. You should be amazed, as I am.

Okay...Ready, steady...

GO!

You answer is "red hammer", right?

98% of the folks who have taken this quiz, answered "red hammer". If this is not your answer, you are among 2% of people who have a different,
if not abnormal, mind.

If you do not believe this, pass it around and monitor answers yourself, you'll see.

This was just for fun, and I hope you enjoyed the quiz. Don't take being a "2 Percenter" to heart, y'all are quite necessary in maintaining a delicate balance in American culture.

The score so far is far beyond 2% so the design is flawed. No, the design is fine. You're flawed, and so are the rest of us. We are the 2 Percent, but you think of yourself as normal. You want to be normal, but sorry, Dude. If you're reading this board and took this quiz, you're not normal.

Deal with it...

OTOH, Hammers are showing an average. We must love to beat stuff, eh?

Yellow screwdriver here.

When I thought about a hand tool, I saw a beat-up old screwdriver (slotted) from my garage that has a pretty mangled handle and the shaft is ever-so-slightly bent from some previous situation I had to use it as a mini-pry-bar. It's also yellow (the cheapo yellow/translucent alternating handle), so it was no problem thinking about the colour.

Yellow screwdriver...

So does this mean I am a coward with a screw loose? Or does the crooked screwdriver shaft represent a neurosis regarding some appearance issue with one's male genitalia and a tendency to wet one's bed?

You know, THIS post actually made me think about it. That's EXACTLY what the instructions said to do... think of a hand tool, and a colour, and write it down, in that order. Didn't say to think of a hand tool and its colour and write down what colour tool you thought of!

Very interesting... thanks for the wake up call.

The answer to your question was in the very first post in this thread. See quote below. Since most of the people that answered picked something other than "Red Hammer", they are among the 2%ers. The same is said for those of us who picked a Marauder over all the other choices out there. :D I guess that this shows that I am "conflicted" ..... I picked Red Hammer and a Blue Marauder.

For all you answering "yellow Hammer"....a little story. Years ago, in Wilmington Illinois, there was a lot of stripmining. The Miners would paint their hammers yellow for identification. The area is rumored to have inbreeding problems. Said alleged persons are referred to as "yellow hammers". Now, armed with that information................... .......WHAT HAVE YOU DONE ?

What I don't get is, if the author of the original thread didn't think red hammer, than why state this 'mind trick' is so spooky and awesome? Whenever I try something like this, and it doesn't work, I think to myself "What a load of BS...next!". I don't usually think "Well, it didn't work for me - maybe it'll work for people on some forum somewhere".

Btw - I thought hammer, then red

At the risk of sounding like a tool myself, I think I know why, too. All of the basic math questions are the same mathematical function, addition, and all have just 2 operands. So, in quickly working through a bunch of them, you start thinking in 'beats' of 2. When asked another question, your mind looks for an answer with 2 beats, or syllables.
When I thought about the answer quickly, I didn't imagine a picture of a hammer, my mind came up with the first 2 syllable word matching the requirement of the question.
As for red... primary colours, what are they again? RGBY. Or at least RGB. Red is almost always listed first.

I much prefer this type of mind trick: http://www.scientificpsychic.com/graphics/
