Next month will be one year that we held our 2nd annual SSm picnic:beer: at Markham Park. Now its time for our 3rd annual Picnic. Last year we had it on Jan. 16, the day before Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday. I am concidering having it on the same weekend because im sure that most of you out there will have an extended weekend. This year I am looking at several different location we can have our picnic. It will definatly be on a saturday or sunday. Details will follow in the next few weeks regarding the permanant time and location. I would like to see as of now who would be interested in attending the picnic. Last year we had 22 Marauders and around 50 people. Since last year we have grown as a group and have a lot of new members. ....... So whos up for another good old fashion Bar-B-Q. If any of you out there have any ideas as to where we can have the picnic let me know and will concider it along with the other places I have in mind.Lets make this years picnic:beer: better than last years   :cool5: :sing:

I'll be there, if I'm in town. I may have to be up in Kentucky that week, but I'm not certain yet. If I can avoid that trip, I will.
Outside of Miami, I don't know any park areas. Markham park was a pretty good choice. Maybe we can have it a little closer towards the center of the state? Maybe up in Palm Beach or something?

How's about John U. Lloyd Beach State Park? Its basically Dania beach.
Unless someone in Orlando could get us a preemo spot on the lawn across from the Magic Kingdom (that would be kewl), whilst I'm dreaming out loud, maybe at the Polynesian... Luau anyone?

Why not CB Smith Park on Johnson and Flamingo in Pines? They got everything!
I'm in. What are we looking for in site requirements?

I'm a go aswell, for a site it should be easy to get to and able to handle many cars and let us cook. I dont want to speak out of place, but MarauderMarc mentioned that we could use his place, and that we could cook there aswell.

If its not too far south, I would love to go and meet everyone.
Oh and I only have saturdays off so....
I was thinking of Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Hobe Sound.

Interesting that you mention that. I may be able to help, but we won't be able to get on property w/o some kind of $$$.
Since I work for TWDC, if we are truly interested, I can/will investigate a variety of packages and options.
Let me know.

I would love to attend and meet everyone and say thanks in person for all the help your information has been. I suspect that there are others on the West Coast that would love to partake in the festivities as well. Please keep us posted and if possible settle on a date enough in advance that we can all plan to be there. I can see a convoy forming now. Thanks Dennis:beer:

Let me see what I can come up with. It would have to be Sunday the 15th. To keep it cheap, wed have to bring our own food to cook, unless you want to pay 40-50 a head for prime beef and all. We could buy some burgers, hot dogs, maybe some ribs and such. We have beverages there. Let me talk to my GM and see what we could do. BTW, its on PGA Blvd and sits on the water (intracoastal). Exact address is 2373 PGA Blvd in Palm Beach Gardens (NPB)

Last year we had burgers, hotdogs, sodas, beers, and different types of salads people brought with them. Im going to check out some parks this weekend and see where would be best for us to have the picnic and have a lot of parking so we could take more pictures like last year.

Anyplace Anytime Anywhere Anyhow .....
I like the waterfront idea of John U Lloyd, Oleta State, or MarauderMarc's
Also don't forget Topekeegee Yugnee Park at the rear pavillion
But the problem with many parks, is that pavillions' are booked months in advance
So tread carefully ;)

Location in the central Florida I believe would be a good location for everyone to travel for distance purposes. My .02 worth.
