Well, I just got back from the strip. Juno was the only other Marauder there. This was my first run since the 4.10s and the Dyno tune by Mr. Beer. My best run was:
R/T .034
60' 2.049
1/8 9.254 @ 78.13
1/4 mile 14.263@ 98.14
This was on street tires and pump gas. Was really expecting 13s. Cruztaker has 10 more rwhp and 4 rwtq and does a 13.2......kinda confused me. But these times were MUCH better than my last personal best. 14.98 @ 95.something....whatever. So I really cant complain. I guess with just a PI converter Id be in the 13s if they guarantee a 1/2 sec better ET times. Ahhhhhhh, next year will be great. Was spinning the tires after launch and the first 50 or so feet. Big churp and jerk during my 1-2 shift. I need better rear tires. Whats a good sticky tire for a stock rear rim...not widened? Does Nitto make a 255/55/18? Well hopefully Ill get this TC and Kooks installed soon.
We went to Blondies after and had a few pitchers and burgers. 2 of Junos friends showed up. It was a fun night. Cant wait to do it again.

I just can't believe you have 292 hp at the wheels with just intake, pulleys, and a tune. That's what I have and my car is making closer to 265-270. Did you switch to colder plugs as well? I'm thinking of doing that next considering how little it costs. Cobra, you mind helping me out on this one? I know you said you know how to change plugs, atleast I think you did. I guess Scott Beer's tune really is a lot better than Lidio's. Maybe I should start saving up for a Predator and a tune from him.

No i dont have colder plugs. What you see on my mods list is what I have. I wouldnt assume that Lidios tune is less effective than Scotts. If Lidio had your car at Alternative Auto to do a Custom dyno tune in person, you might yield something similar. When Scott first installed his Marauder tune, I had 278 rwhp. It took another 30 min of tweaking and more dyno pulls to get it at 292. Since Lidio is far from us, you may want to go Diablo and see Scott since he is in our neck of the woods. That is up to you. Id start working on exhaust if I were you. Also, I have 4.10s which help alot.

That's true. But I already got a tune and a SCT Tuner. I'd probably go elsewhere for a dyno tune. Though, you're right. A dynotune will result in more power. I don't have quiet enough for a custom tune right now though. I'm thinking of getting gears. Rienhart is running a specialf or 4:10s right now. Only $210. I already got the tune for it. I'll just run over to Roy Polita's shop and get it installed there. Oh yeah, Cobra told me that Mr. Beer is very selective about who's car he will tune. I have some leverge being that I pseronally know Cobra but I'm happy with my SCT Tuner for now anyway.

I'll check later. Where do I look for it? Dash board?

The place where Scott dynoed my car was at a place called Speed Zone. The shop belongs to a buy named Bart who specializes in Mustangs and such. He uses SCT. He would dyno your car. Ill PM you the #, or you can just get it from Cobra. Gears and a custom Dyno tune would yield great results.

There are two places: 1 is on the "A" pillar above the upper driver door hinge and the other is under the dash on the PCM. You will have to move a plastic shield out of the way to view the PCM.

You shaved .70 off your ET and this is remarkable. The faster you go, the harder it gets to get faster. Be proud, and know 13s are well within your grasp next season.
Way back in 2002, with my first N/A Marauder, 14.21/98 MPH was my personal best with that Marauder. My setup was OEM tires @ 20 PSI in the back, 50 PSI in the front. 4:10s, stock exhaust other than Ravin Z55 mufflers, 2800 stall PI/Stallion TC, Steeda UDPs, Denso IT-20 plugs, 180 stat, and the best ever of generic SCT tunes available in those days, on a two program flip chip. This was long before any custom dyno tuning by anyone, and my best RWHP was 297, and my best RWTQ was 301 ft/lbs. Options/choices are much better for you today.
You should not compare your performance to CRUZTAKER"S, Barry has a few other little things going on, but it's nice to have a goal. I'm sure once you rethink some details, and add a Stallion TC, you'll be in the 13s, no problem.

I'll come back to his, meanwhile look here for current Nitto size and pricing...

Now, let's talk about this.
As you can see, the only 18" Nitto drag radial is the 305/45, and you will need to modify two Marauder wheels to 9.5" wide, and add a spacer kit to fit them on your Marauder if you want the correct look at the track.
You know, this will run your cost up where it doesn't need to be, right?
However, now that the '05 Mustang is out, more options are available to us Marauder owners, because the '05 Mustang uses the same bolt pattern and 50mm offset as the Marauder. So, rather than buy and modify a set of stock Marauder wheels, pick one of the many wheels available for the '05 Mustang, in 17", and look for a 17X9" wheel. You'll prolly find a set of two for under 300 bucks. Find the cheapest you can for an '05 Mustang and get a set of Nittos in 275/40-17. This is just as much a kickazz drag radial on the race track as the 305/45-18, without all the other drama.
On a 17X9" wheels, 275/40 has a 27.5" OD, just shy of the OEM tire OD on the OEM wheel. I happen to favor the Mikey Thompson drag radial in the same size, but I can't fault the Nittos on performance. Since you shouldn't be driving on drag radials on the public way anyway, what do you care about how your race wheels/tires look? And, if you shop right, you can solve your traction concerns for under 600 bucks, and buy yourself another .5 drop in ETs alone. Reduce that 2.x 60 foot time, and you're in the 13s.
Hope this helps, just my .02C...
