Has anyone come up with a carbon fiber replacement for the ugly strips of plastic on the dash and the door panels?

The two dash board pieces can be replaced. However, the door skin pieces will require use of a whole new door panel I believe, which can be costly.

Question time: Per dispute with another member, SHOULD the wood grain trim for the dash that was previously noted in the Part # list be included in the FAQ section list? This is your site, and it should accomidate you in any way (with in reason).

I saw this part as being a remote and costly upgrade (downgrade in my opinion) for the Marauder, and opted to disclude it from the list. If you feel I'm in error, please PM me. Thanks!

LML, Include it with a note of some sort. Also, there are MANY custom build companies out there, one just needs to look. I found one at the Dallas auto show, and took their card, although I have not enquired yet. I was more interested in the replacement chrome grill applications for the Lincoln LS.

WOODDASH.COM

In no way do I, nor MM.NET endorse above linked company. It's just a suggestion.

If one of the aftermarket compinies come out with a good qualitly real wood trim kit for the interior, in a dark color grey mabye, I might be interested.

No fake wood though.

If the panels are like older versions, that trim piece should be removable, but i don't think it can be ordered separate from the door panel

I think I already did PM you. While you and I may not want woodgrain, there were a number of people who seemed to, and a member researched it, which is why the part numbers were included. It also included numbers for the Chrome shifter and bezel.
There is no harm including the numbers under a separate title, as they were before.

All I am asking for is a carbon fibre replacement or applicae" (sorry can't type French) for the ugly front and side door strips of fake fibre. A simple cover (glueover) will suffice.

With all due respect glassman99, we speak the same language as you guys and your car was built in Canada. And guess what...............WE'RE NOT ALL FRENCH!

I was born and raised in the U.K and am proud of being a Canadian. I don't agree with our policy on Iraq but that doesn't stop me supporting OUR troops.

Sorry to go off on a rant, but we're all in this together.

Regards.

Right...

So umm anyway, only thing I could suggest to you glassman is possibly buying some woodgrain vinal, poping off the carbon fiber and covering it. You buy rolls of it from JCW I know...

Except LML, glassman doesn't want woodgrain, he wants real carbon fibre.
One of the overlay companies may have it, or make it if there is enough interest. glassman, you should contact them
