For what it is worth, those of you looking for any mechanic work on the South East side of the state, Bart Tobner of Billet Design Motorsports is an excellent and honest mechanic.
He came recomended by Scott Beer as such. This guy has years and years in the automotive field specializing now in performance engine work and tuning. He gave me a laundry list of prior employment and certificates, which I promptly forgot (maybe Cobra25 can remember as he was there). He has his own dyno and separate mechanics bay (both of which are on the rebound from hurricane damage). Tobner does SCT and Diablosport tuning and specializes on Mustangs. He currently was rebuilding 3 mustang engines.
I had him install a Stud and Girdle kit today I purchased from Wes, the guy correctly knew the TQ lbs for the bolts off the top of his head, cleaned with a razor, used brake cleaner, later silicone and teflon tape like any good mechanic should. Had my car on the lift for 1.5 hrs and charged me $50.00 (I brought all the fluids). Kudos to Wes, Tobner stated the TA performance girdle is the best one on the after-market.
Tobner has put on so many blower kits over the years he forgets how many, does not prefer one brand name over the other but recommends different kits made for specific years based on how the quality was at the time by the manufacturer, which was a very honest response in my opinion.
Again, for what it is worth, for those of you guys needing any work on the SE side his shop is an option.
