CAR Motorsports is keeping the phone lines open until 9pm tonight for orders. For all of you who are anxiously awaiting the news about the emblem orders you have placed, we do have an announcement. CAR Motorsports has decided to go forward with production of the Gods Head Emblems. Yes, they will be manufactured. Expected delivery is the last week in February 2006. Within the next two weeks, we expect to have "last right of refusal" emblems in our possession. Pictures will be taken and posted of Grille Emblems, Trunk Lid Emblems, and Steering Wheel Emblems. No doubt, the Grille Emblem will make one heck of a great paperweight or display emblem. Thank you to all members who have ordered emblems, we appreciate your enthusiasm and support. To those members that have chosen not to order emblems at this time, we appreciate your giving us the opportunity to display our product and inform you of it's features. It continues to be a pleasure to serve the Marauder community. Best wishes and keep those orders coming.

We are happy to support the Marauder and it's group of enthusiastic owners. The Gods Head Emblems are not yet profitable, need to sell quite a few more to get to that point. We would lose more now, not to go to production. As for the quage pillars...we would need detailed ideas from the membership as to design criteria. Also, we would need to definite minimums.

You can increase your quantities now, we will not be charging until February. Once production begins in another 10-14 days, we cannot assure you of extra emblems. We may have a few but better for you to order now and get charged in 3-4 weeks.

Thanks Rich. If this is a serious consideration, we could start a new thread. I would like something that would look as though it were born there -- as though FoMoCo had made it. Same material and texture as stock, black and paintable. Something similar to Autometer's rivit-on pods, but without any riviting or seams. We could do a poll as to the number of gauges needed -- I suspect most would prefer three.

My motives are different for ordering an additional emblem.
I intend to by a second Marauder for a "play car" within the next year or so.
That one will have a badgeless grill, with the CAR emblem in back.
Even though the rear contour's wrong for a paperweight, I'm looking towards the future, and will adapt for now....

Mary, that is all correct. We have not reached a minimum that is profitable for CAR Motorsports. We did however reach a minimum that makes it better to continue with the production and hope that more orders follow between now and then. Five new orders were received today. Thank you for continuing to get the word out. Each and every Marauder owner we have spoken to has been a pleasure to work with.

Heat it up some with a hair dryer, not a heat gun; and run some fishing line or dental floss behind it after removing the holders from this inside of the trunk- as I understand it not a big job. It sounds as if the new CAR rear badges are put it on and it is on for the duration but that may under estimate the ingenuity of the fools as I love reading here regularily. Dennis:D

Next week Tuesday we will be ordering the final number of emblems and hope to have the finished products by the end of February. Again, no one will be charged until just prior to shipment of their order. At the end of February, manufacturing will take about 4 weeks. Will make for a brilliant appearance when the spring weather comes and the bright sun shines down on your Marauder. Anyone who would like emblems will want to order no later than next Tuesday.

Anyone desiring to add a Custom Embroidered Marauder Fender Mat and/or a Maruader FilterMAG to their Gods Head Emblem order may do so anytime between today and the 15th of February.

The good deal here is that as many Fender Mats or FilterMAGs you desire will be shipped along with your Gods Head Emblems at no additional shipping and handling charge.

Many of you now have the Fender Mats and the FilterMAGs and may want to comment on your results with these products. Also, if anyone has taken the opportunity to cut open their oil filter with the FilterMAG in place, please post pictures of those results.

We are still aiming toward Gods Head Emblem shipment at the end of February and the pictures of the final production emblems should be posted this week. As a side note, the Gods Head Emblem pictured on page one of this thread is simply a Nickel Plated Prototype, the Brilliance of the production Emblems will far exceed the prototype. Reason for this is the production Emblems are Nickel Plated then Triple Chrome Plated then Hand Polished to a Jewelry Decorative Mirror Finish. Emblem Production Pictures


The Production Emblems are complete and ready for Final Manufacturing. We are approximately four(4) weeks from shipment to you. Please see the attached pictures taken today of the Emblems each of you will be receiving. It is extremely difficult to take a picture of the emblems because they have a "Mirror Finish" and the resulting reflectivity is beyond anything one would normally have in an automotive emblem. The prototype you saw six weeks ago was only nickel plated and it was brilliant. These Production Emblems you see pictured are die struck brass which is nickel plated then triple chrome plated, then hand polished to a decorative mirror finish; simply stunning and absolutely a show piece. You can pick your teeth in these babies.

For anyone who has not ordered, we encourage you to call us immediately to ensure a set is saved in your name. Again, we will only have a very limited number of additional emblems manufactured. Thank you to all the members listed below that have ordered as of 2200, Tuesday, 31 January 2006.

Jim, I can't wait to get the last of the hockey sticks off my car. My car is a Marauder, not a mercury or a ford. This car is better than any car they have ever made with the possible exception of the Mustang GT, Cobra, ect. I really like the WTF is it reaction I get everywhere. I wonder how the emblems are going to look around the Le Mans Curve and down the Ullmann Straight. I know they will look great in the parking lot. You registered for the track, Jim? Get it done. They call to confirm your driving classification immediately. Nice guy by the name of Gene Pavliscsak called me within 5 minutes of registering. They do have limited number of track participant openings and limited # of pit garages. This is going to be so much fun that I wonder if I am worthy. Dennis:beer:

That thing is on there!), the UHI kit with red MARAUDER and silver GH, S55 emblems, the emroidered fender cover, which does double duty covering the trunk organizer, and now a GH rear emblem and steering wheel badge on order.

Now I just need to get something worked out for floor mats, as my Mercury rubber ones from Ray are about worn through, and I don't want to put any crappy Autozone ones in there. I think interest in the group buy on those fizzled, but that's OK, I'll just pay what they cost.

Can't wait to finally get my rear badge off and upgraded. :2thumbs:

Norm, thanks for the kind words. Alan and I love working hard for the Marauder Group, great guys and gals across the board. I like your idea about pursuing the custom embroidered floor mats. CAR Motorsports would be happy to do a group purchase on our ultimate quality custom embroidered floor mats. We will offer the floor mat in a large selection of mat colors and binding colors. Of course the embroidery may vary as well for color and logo placement. We do this day in day out for dozens of other high performance enthusiasts' vehicles. Basic pricing for a four piece set with the Marauder word on all four mats would be $190.00 including shipping with CONUS. Again, logo position, colors of carpet and surging, and color of embroidery would be selected by each individual customer to obtain a seamlessly integrated appearance. Please note that the MARAUDER Embroidery will duplicate the rear bumper style as you find in our Custom UHI and TLC. When I bought my MM the first thing I did was take out the original floor mats and put in some K-Mart, Wally World, Advance Auto Parts, what-have-you black foor mats. Because they are cheap I don't have a second thought about replacing them. Unless you know about an MM most prople don't know the difference. I only use my originals for car shows. Although Car Motor Sports mats are too pricey for me, I'm sure their quality is second to no one.

Thanks for the feedback guys. You are correct about the High Quality of our Custom Embroidered Lifetime Warrantied Floor Mats. As you know, your Marauder factory floor mats are inexpensive and made from automotive carpet. They are a very different product than our premium custom floor mats, but they do provide you the OEM look. Our Floor Mats are considerably less expensive than most of the OEM floor mats from other vehicles. The Marauder is an exception to this and for that you can be grateful to Ford Motor Company. As an example, the Pontiac GTO OEM Floor Mats are $463 per set, the Cadillac CTS and CTS-V OEM Floor Mats are $336 per set. Neither of these OEM sets come with embroidery. We provide custom fitted fully embroidered Lifetime warranty floor mats for both of these cars at $215 shipped. At some point down the road, maybe some Marauder owners will want to upgrade there floor appearance with our floor mats at a substantial savings. We will keep this offer alive for a week or two and see how the response is. As always, thank you for your thoughts and input.

That is the difference between OEM and custom. OEM is mass produced where CAR's stuff is custom made one at a time with love :lol: . I would be interested in placing a order for the mats but I'd have to wait until April or May because of my accident I'm still playing catch up with being off of work for 2 months on all my bills. NormI didn't order a rear badge because there just didn't seem to be a way to mount it. It's larger than the stock badge, which just barely fits under the spoiler. If you manage to get it stuffed in there, let me know how you did it. If it's possible to pull that one off, Rich may have an extra that I can order.

Rich, is this true? Is the rear badge larger than stock? If so, it will not fit under the rear spoiler -- it is very tight as is for those of us with spoilers. Stock size would be the largest possible. It would also help to omit the mounting pins to center the badge slightly lower than stock.

It is absolutely incorrect to believe that the CAR Motorsports Gods Head Trunk Lid Emblem will not fit into position under an installed spoiler. The CAR Motorsports Gods Head Trunk Lid Emblem is designed to replace the factory OEM trunk lid plastic emblem. Those of you purchasing the CAR Motorsports Gods Head Trunk Lid Emblem will (per our instructions provided with your emblem) remove the OEM emblems and replace it with our Gods Head Emblem which has a diameter that will duplicate the OEM piece and therefore cover any witness marks left from the factory installed OEM plastic emblem.

Having cleared that up, we can proceed to the advantage in owning a CAR Motorsports Gods Head Trunk Lid Emblem. As the Marauder owners with installed spoilers know, the OEM emblem is tight against the underside of the spoiler. This looks less than ideal, but you have little choice due to the dual pin positioning of the OEM emblem. Therefore you end up with a OEM Emblem that is poorly positioned for visual appeal; bush league at best. The real problem is that the spoiler was not designed to facilitate a seamless integration with the OEM emblem placement.
CAR Motorsports addressed this spoiler design oversight during the design phase of our Gods Head Trunk Lid Emblem. The CAR Motorsports Gods Head Trunk Lid Emblem features a pinless design that incorporates the use of 3M Brand Acrylic Foam Tape with a 45mil specification, providing ultimate adhesion properties in both Pluck and Shear characteristics. As owner of the CAR Motorsports Gods Head Trunk Lid Emblem, you will have the option to move the "formed back" Gods Head Trunk Lid Emblem vertically down, away, from the non-integrated spoiler. This should provide an improved position for viewing to compliment the much improved contruction, brilliance and appearance of the CAR Motorsports Gods Head Trunk Lid Emblem over the OEM emblem.

Gods Head Emblems Shipping Update


The latest on the emblem shipment is a week from today, Friday, 17 March. The emblems are complete and we, CAR Motorsports, will be receiving them next Thursday. The emblems have been in the "hand polishing process" for the past two weeks. Again, you will not see any vehicle anywhere with emblems like you will have on your Marauder. It is truely a show piece emblem both in materials used and brilliance of appearance. It will take several days to ship each and every order, we will do our best to be quick in getting the emblems out to you. As you know, we have not run any charges on your credit cards. Charging on your credit cards will occur when your respective emblems are ready to ship. We appreciate your patience as we move into the final phase of this custom accessory. It has been very enjoyable getting to know many of the forum members through phone conversations and posting. We will make every attempt to ship the Gods Head Emblems in the order in which they were received. That is in fact our plan. Thank you again to all the members who have ordered. We did order several extra sets to accommodate the members who did not get the initial word. That has worked well and so far everyone who has wanted emblems will receive them. We do have a few sets left for anyone that would like to order this week, of course first come first served.

We do not offer the Marauder Custom Embroidered Floor Mats. Not long ago we initiated a thread to determine the interest in a ultimate quality custom floor mat for the Marauder. The results were not encouraging enough to support us doing the project. If we could get a few dozen committments, a plan could be executed to provide beautiful custom floor mats that would seamlessly integrated with the Marauder. Custom Embroidered Floor Mats are a substantial part of our business; if fact we are the most custom embroidered accessory company in the USA. If the numbers pick up, let us know and we will head to production.

Shipping on the God's Head emblems has commenced. The first few sets went out yesterday, with more following each day until all shipments have been completed.

We still have a few extras available for sale to anyone who is interested by has not yet placed an order. They will be made available on a first come, first served basis until they are sold out or placed on ebay for sale starting March 18.

That is the ticket. Warm it a bit with your hair dryer if it's cold. We have warm sun and a couple of minutes with quality dental floss(cheap crap breaks) and off it comes. There are 2 pins behind the badge so work from top and bottom. :D Dennis

GODS HEAD EMBLEM SHIPMENT UPDATE


The good news is.....

The bulk of the orders are packaged. Half were shipped Friday and Saturday; with the other half shipping tomorrow, Monday, 20 March 2006.

If you are an individual who has ordered the 2.3 inch Sail Panel/Fender Emblems, your order will ship on Wednesday, 22 March 2006. This slight delay is due to the emblem completion date of Tuesday 21 March 2006.

We have three members from Canada who have ordered emblems. Your emblems will ship on Monday as well.

There are several individuals that we, CAR Motorsports have been attempting to contact. There are issues with the information on your order form. These issues are related to either unlegible information, credit card information, or address information. The list of names below represents those individuals who must contact us immediately to clear up these issues and have your emblem order shipped on Monday. Please do not delay in responding to the phone messages we have left for you. If you name is on the list below, call now.

Here is the Gods Head Emblem information as it pertains to construction, appearance, application, shipping and ordering. Please see the two(2) attachments for detailed information. Do order quickly so as to facilitate production and delivery in a timely manner. A reminder to order for both present and future needs, as this will be a one time production run based upon exact numbers ordered. Should ordering quantities reach above 1000 units, everyone would receive a lower price on each emblem ordered.

I was wondering if i could get two God's head grill badges made, but with one of the heads facing in the opposite direction (mirrored). In essence when mounted both would be facing forward. I plan to afix them to the side rear stationary glass.

That would require a new mold to be made. You would need to contact us by phone to coordinate. Yes it can be done, the cost for the new mold would be yours and the minimum production figures would be approximately 250 units.
