Modifieds don't count, obviously. The Marauder is the one and only vehicle I've ever owned where I've hit the speed limiter (I came very close with my WS6, within 2-3 mph, but chickened out the moment I saw how fast I was going, so technically that doesn't count). In the Marauder's case, I was showing my displeasure to a tailgater on the highway.
I've also hit the limiter on a rented Grand Prix 4 door out of curiousity in late 1998 on the small back road between "Orlando" and Polk City in Florida. It was something like 108 mph, due to tire choices if I recall.

I was not being serious, I know its only stock cars. But I have no idea
how your going to hit the speed limiters on Americas top ten cars, unless
you own an airport. :D

You just don't have the ambition some of these people do.

That Saleen is so sweet. I love that car. That Mullin on the other hand has a face only a mother could love.

You need more than 1.5 miles to reach top speed on over half of those cars.
Your airport falls a wee bit short of runway...

Sorry, I do not see those Chrysler "bricks" running 160. If that is true imagine if they made an aerodynamic body.

Forbes is a major stockholder in Chrysler/Daimler-Benz so there's your answer as to why it's on the list.

"Technically", Ford had 3 slots.......the Saleen's motor is Ford based and the Panoz uses a 4.6 DOHC Ford powerplant (sound familiar):)
You'd think for 120K Panoz could produce their own instrument cluster instead of using an off the shelf Mustang piece.
