Trouble With Spare Tire Cover????

My %^&*#@% spare tire cover won't stay put!!!!:argue: :mad2:

I don't know what happens in the trunk while I'm driving but the cover always ends up on the trunk floor along with anything else that ain't nailed down....Go Figure???:confused: ;)

Same happens to my vic and MM. Drives the wife crazy. She finally put a bungee cord to keep it in place.

I keep a set of heavy jumper cables on top of the spare cover. They hold it in place most of the time, except for when "testing" new mods.;)

Use a piece of self-stick Velcro. Put the hook side on the tire sidewall then out the spare cover back on. It will stick to the Velcro

I did this too. I strung mine from the lower hinge mount to the other. Mine was also because I didn't have anything to secure the spare with at the time.

Just put the side that covers the tire towards the front of the spare so when you take off it don`t slide off.

Mine has a couple pieces of duct tape on it that were there when I got the car. One on each side of the cover that attach to the tire itself.

CAR Motorsports is in the process of making a new version with an elastic strap to slip over the tire and keep it in place. It will be embroiderable also (so you could put the Marauder word or God's head on it).

Mine is in the garage, on the pile of bra parts, that are on the pile of spare Marauder rims and tires.
