Left my Father-in-Law’s house about an hour ago. Engine warmed up after about 10 miles in a 45-mph. zone with OD off.
Bun warmers kicking in and the climate control set at ~78 deg. with outside temp ~36 deg.
Moon roof open and Alice and Chains on deck, she was begging to stretch her legs after sitting for almost 2 weeks.
Considering this jacka$$ next to me in a wrong wheel drive kept squealing the tires on every green light for about 5 miles, I was more than ready to get rid of him.
Just past the last green light was the on-ramp to where I needed to go giving a perfect opportunity to flog her hard as well as to test the limits of the front and rear Addco bars.
The ramp is a smooth 2 lane with a hard sweep right, then left and back to the right merging into one lane downhill onto the 55-mph expressway.
Entering the on ramp with 2 hands on the wheel and almost full throttle, I steer right into the first sweep nearing 70-mph. The posted ramp speed is 40 mph and she is cornering flat nowhere close to giving up traction.
Staying on the loud pedal and making the left sweep, I had to switch lanes getting around slowpoke in the right lane avoiding bad things and possibly ruining my adrenaline rush.
Keeping both hands on the wheel nearing 80-mph and making the final right hand sweep, I mashed the loud pedal to the carpet.
Heading downhill by this time and in a straight line, I reluctantly let off the gas ~110-mph, coasting down to 62-mph and setting the cruise for the rest of my journey home.
Wish you were there!
