I got mine from a MM.net memeber a while ago , it came with a 1/2" steel plate with holes and what not in it but I can not for the life of me figure out how to install it. Yes I have read piglets post a thousand times, yes i have searched the forums. Im thinking i got screwed and this thing isnt even for a marauder. Anyone else get a 1/2" steel plate with their dp?

Where/From whom did you buy your deadpedal?
If you bought it from Kenny Brown, It should have 2 pieces.
One bolts BEHIND your plastic kick panel, the 2nd piece (pedal) bolts on top of your kick panel directly to the first piece.
You only have to drill two holes in your plastic kick panel if my memory serves...

IM not sure who its from as i bought it used but there are 2 pieces, the big 1/2" piece of metal that has holes and curves in it and and acutal pedal that can bolt to this hunk of metal. problem is it wont fit no mater what i do. it seems like this big hunk of metal just isnt supposed to be there

Pictures here might help.

There is a heavy backing plate that the dead pedal bolts on to.

Looked at the pics. Glad to see it wasn't me. The KB pedal is crooked. I shimmed mine to be parallel with the go pedal and clear the parking brake in full engaged position.

That's NOT a KB Dead Pedal. Looks like some kind of fleaBay knock off.

The actual bend where the pedal is looks similar to the KB, but beyond that, what a hack.

Looking at it, it looks like someone modified the KB deadpedal for another car. It also looks like they bought the dynopro pedal covers aswell.

Well... now that you know it isn't "correct" change your thought process and using what you have... engineer a solution. You aren't in a position where you are going to install the parts incorrectly you are now in the position to design your own.

If i had a saw that could cut metal it would work , I could hack off half of that thing and it would bolt up and fit. Probably just order a bracket from KB if they sell individual pieces.

Yes just the bracket is ( or at least was ) available from Kenny Brown. Reference (http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB2&Number=822240&Forum=UBB2&Words=dead%20pedal&Match=Entire%20Phrase&Searchpage=0&Limit=99&Old=allposts&Main=821964&Search=true#Post822240) <<<<< -click-

I do not think it is a dyno pro pedal. It looks like it, but there are grooves in the dynpro pedal's metal that are not grooved in the picture of this dead pedal.

I can explain that, the previous owner had them "stoned" ( one of the few things i DO remember), the DP matches the other pedals already installed ( i.e. they all look like that)
