My trans temp guage doesnt move. I installed it in the right place ( for now) with teflon tape, it is grounded to something in the engine but where is the best place to ground it at?

Are you running the Trans temp manifold? I gounded mine right to the green ground screw next to the battery.

Where are you guys installing the senders? I'm going to do an electric one down the road to replace the oil pressure.

There's a service port on the driver's side of the transmission near the linkage. I unscrewed the bolt that's in that port and screwed the sender in its place. It takes a good 10 to 15 minutes of driving before I see any temperature register, but it does work there. Transmission averages 150 degrees in steady highway driving and about 180 degrees driving on surface streets.
To answer LVMarauder's question, I used the same ground that the factory gauges near the shifter use, and it works great. Maybe your sender is DOA?
