Poking around on the Weick media website, I came across two high resolution photos of the Roots type supercharged Meta One concept Marauder. Here are these pics in a smaller version and links to my gallery with the high res versions. I'm sure you triliogy owners will find these interesting.

I'd like that S/C for the CVPI.
When was this concept produced?

I think these are shots of the convertible concept... so.. 2002 sometime?
Interesting how they did it for the SOHC, no?

That inverted altenator has a Trilogy tone about it. I wonder if Jerry and his crew had something to do with this...?

Not much on that concept car was functional. It wouldnt suprise me to learn that the drive belt simply turned the pully on that blower. Another thing to point out is unless the engine height was different between the SOHC and the DOHC, there was NO way to mount the Eaton atop the motor due to the deck height. This is a fact with our Mach 1 DOHC motors. Until Trilogy designed that mounting intake plate on CAD first, then as a prototype one of piece, it really wasnt possible to mount that Eaton with the stock hood. I will ask Steve for the scoop on it, I need to talk to him tomorrow anyway.

Hey Donny...How did you come to settle on the title of this thread? Why do you want to bust on the Trilogy owners? On second thought, why bust on any Marauder owner?
I haven't seen one mention of any 411 from you here, that actually links (or even hints at a link?) to anything related to the META ONE concept due in November of '06, or, any "concept" Marauder whatsoever. Why the teasing, dude? Zup with that?
If you wanna tease us, tell us you're wearing something silky and red, with black lace trim. Throw in something fishnet, maybe add a whole lot of ruby red lipstick. Try that...
Hehehe...Don't hold your breath, but it's got to get a better "rise" out of us than this lame tease.

Hmm, fashion advice from a man who wears a kilt,, whats next? Dressing for sucess tips from Dennis Rodman?? :) WHOO HOOO! Major chesnut roasting from the mercman, I love it! Thanks for not roasting mine over an open fire this holiday season.
Let me tell you something, my friend...The only...ahem..."men"...Who shy away from wearing Kilts, are the (cough)..."men"...Who are afraid that everyone else won't be able to hear their audio.
Yeah...Audio.
Sound.
The sound that's audible when wearing a Kilt the proper way.
That sound is your brass ba...Nevermind, this is a family channel.

Okay, Mac, okay. I give you the gold star for the day for being the first person to pic up on the thread title red herring. But, as I will show, this is another "Standard V8 in the Sable" mistake on Ford Media's part.
First, you have to understand that there are ways to navigate around web sites to find things that aren't available going in the front door. The Weick Media/Ford Media website is like this: you have to be registered and have some level of permission before you can poke around on certain pages. I'm registered, which grants you a limited amount of access. So, looking at this page, I read something interesting --- namely, a 199>8< concept Mercury Marauder was shown at the 1998 SEMA show, and it was supercharged. I figured there had to be pictures of it somewhere, something we hadn't seen outside of a magazine or newspaper. Also, I was looking for more of the Roush SEMA car that had the cool interior, supercharging, S-55 emblems, other than the 5-6 shots that are on that old Crown Vic Muscle site.
So, here's a screen shot with the bit about the '98 Mercury Marauder concept car:

Okay, so I look around and find this page:
http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/1/1/3/6/Fordmedia2.JPG
and if you scoll down the page you see this:
http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/1/1/3/6/Fordmedia3.jpg
Thinking i had found pictures of the '98, the "Mercury Meta One Marauder" perhaps thinking they had reused the Meta One
name. I found pic of the hard top concept (I think it's the "production" concept shown at car shows in 2001) and the convetible
concept shown at car showsn in 2002. The pictures of the engine bay, though, were very high resolution, pics I had seen
before (and I think I posted them as well), but not to this detail. That is why I snagged them and posted them, not because
I thought it was something new, but because I thought Trilogy owners may be interested in seeing how it compares to their
superchargers. It's pretty obvious to me that Trilogy had a part in designing this supercharged concept car, the heritage is clear.
Anywho, I used the "Meta One Marauder" in the title as a goof. Obviously, there's a mistake on the page, and "Meta One" should be on a separate line. If you look closely, there's a small black dot between the words "One" and "Marauder" and, in fact if you click on one side of the dot you are taken to the Meta One concept page, the other side to the Marauder concept page.

Having taken numerous anatomy and physiology courses in my life, I can think you will agree with me on this note.
Any male wearing a kilt in Chicago with the present themometer reading and wind chill will have NO audio!! The aforementioned "dangling participles" will surely find themselves retreating to a warmer climate in great haste. The only audio might possibly be a sound similar to to a bugler calling retreat. :baaa:

Judging by the crossover coolant pipe, I'd bet 4V.

Guys...
Meta One is a Hybrid Concept Vehicle.
It takes the Freestyle, remanufactures it as a Hybrid,
and badges it with the Mercury nameplate.
This is Meta One....
I saw it at the 2005 New York Auto Show.

You youngsters probably won't remember this wagon.
It was driven by Dyno Don Nicolson back in the mid 60's and was affectionatly known as the "ugly duckling".
I think it ran well into the 11 sec E.T. range.:)

The car your looking at is the convertable concept and yes, very little of it was functionable.
I'm sure everyone remembers early in the year it going up for auction and it having a speed fast enough for parades and display use only...not legal for the streets. It was a very early prototype with non functionable windows, no top what so ever.
