It's in the latest issue of Mustang Times. A guy has put a shaker hood on an '05/06 Mustang. Thing is, in his setup, the airbox/filter doober is on the same side as ours, and looks to me like it would work on ours. Take a look, it's way cool. :D

look in the hood threads and there is multiple links to the kit ;) I was debating on it too.

Classic design concepts sells a shaker kit for the 94-2004 mustangs and the new 05/06 mustangs as well as a kit for the F-150.
But still looks like you would need to make some modifications to make it work.

$795 for the whole kit. How cool is that? I think it would look terriffic on an MM, especially black or silver. Who's first? :D

Please tell me that no one would put a Mach 1 Shaker Scoop on their Marauder. There is no way that would look good! I walk past my Mach 1 and Marauder parked next to each other every morning, it wouldnt look proportionate to the hood. The Marauder hood is flat and very wide compaired to the Mach 1 hood. What makes the Shaker look good on the Mach is the hood design itself, it isnt flat, rather it rises up in layers, kind of like a pyramid, when in the drivers seat, it is the most prominant feature of the car, it is both agressive and wicked looking. It looks like crap on the 05-06 Mustang, and one guy on the Mustang forum I am also on that did it to his new Mustang, between the kit, body work, etc I think he layed out over 2 grand for it, and it looks like crap since the new Mustang hood is wide and flat like the Marauder hood.

See how the hood rises up to meet the scoop, its not flat:

Looking at that kit, its hard to say if it could even be converted to work on a Marauder. They also say that it may not work on the Mustangs, or in our case Marauders, with a roots style blower.

The thing, too me is, the hood area difference between the cars. The Mustang hoods are smaller, therefore the shaker looks "right'. Very right.
But on the MM it will get lost in the mass of the area and look small. If the enlarged the shaker set up to get the right proportion, it would be nice.

Maybe a MOPAR shaker.... like from a Hemi Cuda?:corner:

I don't like shaker scoops or any scoops for that matter. I don't even like cowl hoods. They disrupt the clean lines of the vehicle and look tacky IMO. If I bought a recent Mach 1, that shaker hood would be the first thing to come off.

Is that a Bullitt or a Mach 1? Bullitts didnt have a Shaker scoop. Or did you add that with the Paxton.

MI2QWK4U can you do us a favor and take a few pics of your Mach1's aluminum shaker scoop sitting on top of your Marauders hood?
That way we can get a better visual of what it would look like.
You are right that the Marauder's stock hood might be to flat for a shaker, but I was thinking of raising the height of the hood with a small universal fiberglass cowl to replicate the Mach1 hood.

Also has anybody seen any pics of "classic designs concepts" F150 shaker kit with the hood open???
I'm wondering what side the F150's airbox is located on, it might be a better choice for us.

Dang! That Warpath IS a genius! I mean, he'd take the shaker off an '03 or '04 Mach1. Wouldn't that leave a big hole? What about birds and large objects falling into the motor? Why would you buy one, then take it off? :dunno:

The thing is, guys, they make 'em in all colors and styles, and every level of power and comfort you could want. Why do they do that, you might ask? Why not let 'ol Dave decide what color and style we should drive, I mean he has good taste, right?

The answer to the $64,000 question: Why did you get that one?

Answer: Because I want to, and I can.

Me and Darryl like the look of the Mach1 scoop and think it looks great on the new Mustang, and might look great on our Silver Birch Marauders.

I, for one, can't wait to see how Darryl's looks. :D

Cause 'ol Dave doesn't care what you do to your car. Its all about personal preferance and taste. You have your opinion just as I have mine. I cant wait to see the first Marauder with a Mach 1 ram air hood scoop. Someone will have to take a rist, spend a lot of money, and have a lot of good fortune. Whos first?

EXACTLY my opinion is if you do not have any thing good to say about other members choices about there car, do not say any thing. I respect every ones opinion when it comes to modifying there car. I do not care if it is a SSR or Volkswagen beetle, or our beloved Marauder.

The Mach1 Shaker (aka mustang shaker of old) is not the right one for our car. Someone needs to get a Torino shaker as that was longer to match the Torino's longer hood. I had a 70 Torino with a shaker and if I remember correctly, it was about 4-5 inches longer than the one on my 70 428 SCJ Mustang.

I'll google for pictures..

Here's the link that shows the difference... (http://www.fordramair.com/)

Well Dennis, first of all, it wasnt about a members choice of what they DID to their car, rather about something they wanted to DO to the car. People were tossing around ideas about what something may look like, along with if it was even possible to do. Why do you say you respect other people opinions when you dont respect mine? I voiced my opinions on what the Mach 1 Shaker would look like on a Marauder or 06 Mustang GT, pure and simple, they would look disproportionate to the hood and end up looking retarded. If you dont like my opinion, I apologize. Just do what I do when someone disagrees with my opinion, ignore it, its not that big of a deal.
The proof will be evident when someone here steps up and does the mod.

:shake:Geez. You guys are way too sensitive and fragile. Some people stated they liked the way it looked. I stated I didn't like it. How is that any different than any of the other comments? I didn't state that you shouldn't do it. Why does everyone really care what anyone else thinks anyway? Its your car. Do what you like with it and not what everyone else likes.

If I had the Mach 1 and I did take the shaker off, I would get a 99/01 Cobra hood. I wouldn't buy a Mach 1 in reality or I would have one. If I did have one, I would have bought it because its a Mustang with a 4V and solid axle.

I would like to help out those of you that asked me to remove my Mach 1 Shaker scoop and lay it out on the Marauder hood for a picture, but I dont have time to do it now, besides, its cold out! Honestly guys, I have eyeballed it, actually cut out a piece of cardboard the size of the Shaker and it is too small. I agree with the guys that think any scoop on the Marauder shoud be bigger than it is on the Mustang. The flat black Mach Shaker wouldnt look right just due to the finish.

I did some research on this past summer. Measured a Mach I hood scoop... it looks LOST in the middle of a Marauder hood. Not to say that the Torino one wouldn't work.

I was looking at doing a Mopar Shaker Scoop but just haven't gotten around to it. It is MUCH larger... don't know if it would work.. but....

I had contacted www.fordramair.com in the past about the torino shaker scoop. But he will not sell the torino scoop separately, only as a complete kit.

The company below does sell a fiberglass reproduction Torino shaker scoop as well as Mopars shakers.
But they sell the Torino scoop only, no seal, no airbox/water tray.
You would have to design/make your own airbox/water tray out of fiberglass, aluminum, or what ever material you prefer.

Take a look...
