I know a lot of members here have done the S55 treatment to their Marauders taillights, but has anyone done the oppisite?

I guess you could use "nightshade", limotint or maybe a perferated vinyl overlay.

Here's a quick photoshop of what I mean.
Just an idea...

Don't think much light will shine out of the blacked out area. The raised area is reflective and the recessed area is where the light shines thru....

I'm glad you took a peek at this, but honestly, I can't support your concept.

The tail light housing has focused lenses built in, which allow maximum light emmision within specific partitions visible to the motorist behind you, i.e. what is most visible vs. what is not.

The lesser visible areas are already taped off, and allow for the revisions you have seen here to date, such as Charlie's (Defyant) treatment. If you reverse this map, like "make a negative" of it, light emmision/ventilation is forced to be minimal, if at all.

You're blocking out what works as brake/tail light, in favor of what doesn't work...As anything.

Speaking of tail lights, I have (4) 3157 red Wedge LEDs and load equalizers in the mail. I'll make a thread if it's worth the excitement.
