Can anyone recommend a good source for an all-weather cover that will fit a Marauder properly? I'm looking at the ones from California Car Covers but they are a bit pricey for the high end ones..
thx.

Don't know how "high end" you want to go, however get one that can breath. If it is completly waterproof, you will end up having condensation under it.
I have one that I got at PepBoys for around $39.95. Water may get through it in a heavy rain, but it does the job of protecting the car when parked outside for long periods. I first started using it on my 98 Continental. Had three cars with only a two car garage. Not only did it do the job in everyday use, It also did the job when the car sat outside in 2004 when our friends, "Charlie", "Francis" and "Jeanne" (Hurricanes) came blowing through my area.
For those three hurricanes, I wrapped straps around the cover to keep the cover from blowing off. I also used the cover when I had to keep my car at one of the Orlando Air Parks, when I flew out west for a week. Kept car out of the sun, and out of sight.

Be careful of dusty areas. When my MM was new, I bought a cover for it. Parking lot where I worked at the time was not paved. Dust got under the cover. End result was $300 or so to have the car rubbed/ buffed to get all the fine scratches out. Took cover back got a refund.
Rod.

If we have enough interest, say about 50 orders....
We, CAR Motorsports, can provide a custom fitted lifetime warrantied Car Cover which is embroidered for $199.95. It will have all the features you see on our website for the C4, C5 and C6 Corvette Car Covers. Let's see what the interest is; if high then we will start a sign up list on a new thread. Link below for a look at the product.

Group buy price of $150 shipped within CONUS. It will come with Cable and Lock as well as the other features. This is the easiest custom car cover to use....quick on...quick off and goes back into the back in less then 30 seconds. Wash it in home wash machine. Dry it in home dryer. Have them for all my cars....9 total.
Thanks, Rich

I'd be interested in a plain cover.

I might be interested. I'm really looking for something padded, if there is such a thing. This would only be used when I go out of town, or mainly, when a hurricane comes. My car sits outside, so I need something very heavy that can protect against flying debris (from scratches, etc.) and be easy to secure heavily to withstand high winds.

Just remember that you get what you pay for.
39.95 ought to last a little over a year. Go for
the higher end ones. They are so much nicer.

Thats a good question. How do you know when the cover is worn out?
This is my first car that needed a cover. I would be interested in the group buy for the embroidered one. I don't think the embroidery charge adds that much compared to plain.
