Happy New Year to all :cool3:
Time to toast the New Year.
Anyone interested in having a winter meet @ Bennigan's in Yonkers? For those who haven't been there before, Bennigan's is off the Saw Mill River Parkway, and has had good Marauder parking for our 12:00 noon meets.
Here are some proposed dates, both before and after Superbowl weekend. Please post all your available dates, and hopefully we'll find a date (and maybe a snow date too) that suits the most Marauderers.
Saturday, January 21
Sunday, January 22
Saturday, January 28
Sunday, January 29
Saturday, February 11
Sunday, February 12
Saturday, February 18
Sunday, February 19
So let's see who is available when. Please post up. We seem to have our biggest meets when it's cold outside!!

OK, so far it looks like Blackened300a, Krytin and I are good for Saturday, Feb. 4th (Superbowl weekend, by the way). DL04, Marauder, tbore007, jgc61sr2002, DEFYANT, Martyo -- are you guys good for the 4th?
We need to hear from MENINBLK, MTAMERC9, 03SILVERSTREAK for their availability/interest. And how about Jaywish, Valkyrie, Sundaydog, Fatbastid? Anyone else from the last Hooters meet? Anyone who didn't go to the Hooters meet? Heck, I'd even like to hear from Nexstar7!
I know there are a bunch of Marauders within driving distance of beautiful Yonkers-on-Hudson. As a bonus, we can take a ride (or not) past the building where Son of Sam lived and was captured back in the day.
To recap: so far Saturday, Feb. 4th is in the lead. The following two Saturdays, Feb. 11 and Feb. 18, are also possibilities. So please post your availability for any or all of the three dates in February:
Saturday, Feb. 4 (winning so far)
Saturday, Feb. 11
Saturday, Feb. 18
FYI: Heres the location for the meet (12 noon)
Bennigan's
2 Executive Boulevard
Yonkers, NY 10701
914-966-1100
I'll post directions from the Saw Mill River Parkway once a date is confirmed.
Please post. We really need more than three cars this time.

A quick :bump:
As of this morning (Weds.), the local stations are now saying good weather for our meet Saturday. Well, they didn't actually mention the meet, but they should have.
So, everyone please keep the date (Saturday, Feb. 4th) open on your calendars for our 12 noon meet at Bennigans in Yonkers.
Anyone else? There's still room in the parking lot.
Glad to see 03SILVERSTREAK will be joining us. I was getting worried there.:stooges:
Will post directions from the Saw Mill tonite or tomorrow (for those who haven't been there before).

To expand a bit on the Mapquest directions:
Executive Blvd. is Exit 9 off the Saw Mill River Parkway North. The exit is a jug-handle off to the right and then you'll cross over the parkway. Once on Exec. Blvd., continue up the windy hill past the water tower and you'll see Bennigan's on the left.
If you're coming south on the Saw Mill, Executive Blvd. will be a right-hand turn off the parkway (duh).
If you're coming over the GWBridge from Jersey, try to use the Lower Level to make it much easier to get to the exit for the Major Deegan North (Rt. 87) and then follow Blackened300a's directions above to catch the Saw Mill. Once you exit the Major Deegan, follow the Saw Mill signs and it will be a straight run to the Exec. Blvd. exit.

I like your odds better, but I just checked weather.com for 10703. The hour-by-hour forecast calls for rain/showers from 9:00 a.m. Saturday thru to 2:00 a.m. the next day. I guess I'll recheck the forecast in the morning.

I am impressed. Lots of Marauders came out to the meet on a rainy day!
We had 10 modern Marauders, one gorgeous '64 peach-colored ("bittersweet") Monterey Marauder, one GTO (allowed for a "grandfathered" member), and one of Marty's cool Fords.
Had a great time as usual. My sis and her husband stopped by to finally see what the fuss is all about when I talk about the meets. They were duly impressed by nice folks and hot cars lined up, especially since they were used to seeing just one at a time (as in, mine).
Yes, I was still inside dickering with our less-than-perfect waiter who had a very hard time getting the bill right. But, I looked at the bright side: it's unlikely that his real job is wrenching at a dealership that services Marauders!
The worst part was that I missed most of the exit maneuvers out of the parking lot, which is always one of the highlights.
There's always next time.

Plans are what people make, or hope for.
Life is what happens.
Now where is the '64 Marauder?

Hi All,
I'm SOL for missing the meet. I wheeled by after work at around 6PM. Didn't see any Marauders in the usual spot so I kept on going.
Better luck for me next time.

John I called him and he got back to me tonight. Bottom line asking price is $22,000 will take $20,000. 37,000 mile car. Has been restored. All numbers match just added tri power, and a 4 speed. Was a 3 speed. Bench seat.
Color is called bittersweet, inside is white. Very clean car!
Thanks again for your help.
