Greets All!

I just got my '03 MM last evening! Second owner 33k. Was owened by the dealership's Detailer. In great shape. Almost showroom new condition.

So, now what? It's kinda quiet, and needs MORE power! I can't swing forced induction quite yet, and would like to stay away from a gear swap.

What is the general consensus of replacement mufflers?
What High Flow Intake is recommended?
What Chip is recommended?
Blah, blah blah...

Nice forum here. Hope to meet up w/ folks here in Columbus, Ohio.

Welcome!

Glad you found the best place on the internet for MM information.

Mufflers are a very personal choice, hard to make a recommendation over the internet.

Chip/tune; there are several great tuners out there and most can put the tune on a XCAL2. http://www.sctflash.com/product_SF.php
This will allow you the freedom load and unload the tune and do some minor tweaking. Also you can data log with the XCAL2 and it provides a nice upgrade path if you go with forced induction.

Enjoy your ride:banana:

Just click the SEARCH box and type in a key word. These guys have discussed everything from Addeco sway bars to Zanin car wax. I'm mechanically stock and have the XCAL2 and am very pleased with performance and reliability, but your options are endless.

I'll be in Independence, OH in February for three days.

Drive safely...

That link is actually to a newer tuner than the xcal2. both do roughly the same. they promised us onscreen datalogging on the xcal2, I believe, but never came through with it.
either way you can still hook both up to a pc for data logging

Glad to hear from you Killjoy.I've just recently joined myself but have just been lurking. There's so much to take in on this site!

I'm on the east side of Columbus, near the airport. Got my '03 SB at Krieger L/M this past June. Made a couple trips to North Carolina this past summer.
This thing is great on the WV turnpike!

I was just near you then. I got is over at Bob Boyd Lincoln / Mercury there off of Brice.

Pretty good guys to deal with. Didn't seem like the "typical" used car lot / salesmen. It was a rather good experience.

Maybe we should try and hook up at some point.
