I'm in the process of upgrading from the ROADY2 to an Xpress. The Roady2 was mounted to the back of the overhead. While it was a good place and out of the way it was hard to see and reach. I didn't want to drill or glue anything to the dash that would be permament so I went in the shop and bent up a piece of stailess sheet metal to snap over the center trim piece. There are felt pads on the back of it keep it from rubbing. It can be removed if I ever decide to get rid of the XM without any damage and the location is easy to see/reach. I still need to re-route the wires.

Looks good, I had this same mounting problem with my Sirius radio.
You did a better job :)

Another option is a pro-fit, vehicle specific mount.
