Well, Trilogy #112 is in the operating room now, been there a few hours tonight. I worked long hours the past week so I was pretty tired this morning, got an early start but was slow getting started on the install.
Anyway, I picked up speed relatively speaking as the day went on. I'm being sure to take my time, and enjoy this as much as possible. So far, so good. But, I'm not one to get cocky - I'm taking my time, reading the instructions, and following all the tips I've received.
So right now I'm tkaing a break. It's gotten cold out, but I'm going to press on after warming up. A friend came by to lend a hand, and we have the car in the garage as far as it will fit to allow us room to work, put up a space heater, and put tarps on the open portion of the door.
Right now we're just about to pull the lower intake manifold.
Next time I chill I'll toss up some pics.
We'll see how it goes!

Sounds like it's going well. You have the technical assistance phone numbers...

I sure do! Thanks!
Oh, I forgot to mention, I feel good about this...the EGR tube took about 5mins. The 1 1/16" wrench made quick work of it, I was actually able to break it from up top going between the head and the master cylinder.
I did soak PB blaster on it 3 times since this morning which probably helped.

You will enjoy your kit from the #1 seller of Marauder supercharged kits. Drive it like you stole it after the install.
Man you are going to have fun next racing season. Good luck with your install.

Glad to hear everything is going well. I am also "banging" around the garage. For me, it is the Bear brake upgrade.
Any questions? Feel free to call.

You will really appreciate the wonderful change in your ride when you are done knowing you did it yourself. I would love to have been able to do mine but thought, accurately; it was over my head. My decision was easy as I had the most experienced Trilogy MM installers in the country probably doing mine. They are there for you and everyone with questions or who hit a tough spot. I love that about them and this organization which is filled with folk who will pitch in for a fellow Marauder nut. Dennis:)

Excellent! Take your time, check stuff twice. The manual is great and will walk you through everything.
Glad the EGR went well.

Well it's cold and windy out, we called it a night a bit early when we got the the Boost a pump since that meant going outside of the garage into the cold night wind. :)
I left the camera in the garage so sorry for no pics, I'm catching up on rest so I can hit a full day tommorrow. Plenty of work left, but will keep updated.
Thanks!

Glad to hear of your installation in progress!! I didn't have any problems loosening the EGR tube nut either, but I guess a lot of guys have. maybe it depends on how many miles your Marauder has on it at the time of the Trilogy install. my MM only had 11K on it's clock when I performed the installation, so maybe that's why it was easy to break that nut loose.
I used the yellow coolant for both the radiator and intercooler (my radiator came with the yellow coolant from the factory). But that isn't to say that Tallboy and carfixer's idea is bad. BTW, I agree with Jdando...take your time, and do everything right the first time. I had a problem threading one of the supercharger bolts into it's hole. it seemed that it just didn't want to start straight for some reason. But grinding the beginning of the bolt to a point on a grinding wheel solved that problem. keep us all posted on your progress.

Here's a questions...I have my new plugs, going with the colder plugs. Gapped 'em to .032. I noticed I got AGSF-22C's but the instructions call for AWSF-22C...the tip sheet though DOES say AGSF-22C.
Here's a pic of the plug I pulled vs the AGSF-22C. The threads are much longer. I know that means a colder heat range, right?
My questions is, if the threads are so much deeper, wont the plug sit further down in the head? I'm worried if I got the wrong plugs the pistons would hit the spark plugs if they sit 1/2in lower in the head.
Here's a pic. I just need assurance I have the right plugs, otherwise I'll just reuse mine for the time being. Please let me konw this is OK: See what I mean how longer the threads are? The top one is the new AGSF-22C plug, the bottom one is the plug I pulled out. BTW if it matters this is an '03 300B

Same thing. Part number just changed. That's what we were told at the Ford dealership where we purchased them. Been running smooth as silk since April.

Thanks! I'll proceed with the 22C's and their longer threads. Jsut wanted to be sure I wasn't going to destroy anything when I turned the key later on. :)
Doing the BAP now so I'll come back to the plugs.
Thanks again!
BTW I realy dislike weathermen. We were predicted 45-55 degree weather this weekend. Heck, 8am on Saturday it was 53deg here. Right now it's about 30 and windy.
I've got 3 shirts, 2 pants, 1 hat, and 1 pair of mechanix gloves. Luckily the garage is keeping some warmth in but still, it's a bit cold for this! Could be worse for mid-January though. :) At anyrate, it's a real slow down.

The plug isn't longer, nor does it protrude deeper into the combustion chamber, it just has more thread area.

Looks like you are moving along nicely. Just keep working away. Unfortunately the putting parts on took longer than taking them off.

Well, Trilogy #112 is in the operating room now, been there a few hours tonight.
Well Mike, I guess that was a pretty expensive trip to Gettysburg ... huh? Good luck with the install and I look forward to the stories at the auto show in a couple weeks.

I guess I may be partially to blame for Mike's decision. Although, I can still picture the huge ***** eating grin he had on his face when we dedided to wake up a few of the fallen blue and gray!:D

Well guys, I'm about 80% done but calling it quits for the weekend. I'm leaving it in my parents garage. The cold snap really hit me and slowed things down for me. I did have a friend come by last night and help out, we made good progress.
Right now I've got the accesory belts, intercooler, and vacuum hoses, and PCM to finish up.
A few snags I hit today set me back a few hours. First, getting the EGR tube back on was a real pain. I couldn't fit the wrench on to get more than about 1/4 turn each go 'round, so I sat there for about an hour turning it.
Also, my boost gauge was missing the fitting that goes into the manifold so I had to take a trip to the store to pick one up...found this out after calling Carfixer wondering if I was going nuts and losing parts. (This is autometer's fault that it was missing.) I got the right adapter and was set, but from my parents house the nearest reputable store is about 20-25mins away...so that was another hour gone.
But, so far everything looks pretty cool, I can't get out of work this week so I'll wrap things up on the weekend, hopefully just on Saturday.
If any CAM'ers care to join me, I'll make sure my folks don't mind a few Marauders stopping by - since they're being so gracious to lend me their garage. ;)

Sounds like your moving right along with it. My kit also was missing the boost gauge fitting. If you need any help just pm me. Good luck with the rest of the install.

I updated with more pics. Plenty of work between the taking of each pic. :)
This break isn't so bad, my solder gun was really acting up so now I've got a few days to go pick a new one up...a fresh solder gun will make the alternator harness extension go easier.

I apparently forgot to renew my other .com so my main site was unavailable to upload the pics to - that should be back in the next few hours so I'll move the pics there.

We California folks are still waiting for CARB certification so that we can get on the Trilogy bandwagon. I hope Jerry is still working on it!

I'm here! Not speeding just yet, I started work pretty early today but ended up getting a frantic call later in the morning from someone I work with. We had a few issues at work and I had to go in and put some fires out today. What fun!
So I did some work on #112 in the morning, but didnt' quite complete.
I'm not feeling so great right now so I'm not going to push it tonight. Saturday will probably be the next chance I get, so I'll head down to my parents and wrap things up. That way I'll have time to test drive it before packing up and heading home. Luckily I got my 'stang which I commute in so I'm not sans car while I wait.
Didn't leave with much left to do, gotta button everything back up and swap out the PCM chip and it'll be time for a test fire.
I'm probably taking the longest ever for an install, but I'm taking my time and trying to make it an enjoyable experience. Also, this is a one man show thusfar, some of these tasks are probably easier with an extra set of hands. I did have a friend stop by for a few hours, was a big help in getting the supercharger assembly mounted...that would've been tough by myself!!
The only setback I had today was I found in my kit I got two sets of alternator extension wires but no buttsplice connectors. My solder gun wasn't up to the task of solder-splicing 8ga wires and I was gonna try propane but the two bottles I had were dry. So, I'll pick up some butt splices this week.
I can order if there are preferred splices, what should I use for a good connection since I now have time to shop?
Thanks to carfixer though for leaving me his # and letting me call, the help has been greatly appreciated!

Gardner-Bender HSB-28 butt splice kits are the preferred method. Pick 'em up at Lowes.:)
