I am going to powder coat my calipers and would like some input on some various colors. I am thinking of the following: red, (slightly overdone) argent silver, yellow, or maybe a super high gloss black.

High gloss black, I like adding detail and refining our cars but not drawing to much attention to any one part of it's overall Badassedness.:beatnik:

Good call.
I too am looking to pc my covers, and also the upper intake.
Just wonder it that would be overkill to have them both black.
Any comments, or if anyone has done this combo I'd like to see a picture.

How much tear down are you going to have to do to have the calipers powercoated? There have been a few members here that have epoxy color coated their calipers while they were still on the car that yielded pretty good results.

Mine are blue,... but gloss black sounds pretty cool.

gloss black is a killer, BUT brake dust will show up greatly

What color MM do you have? It would help with my suggestion. But the black is a good alround chioce.

I will have to completely remove them. The good thing about powdercoating is that it resists most chemicals and will not fade. And...you can blow off the brake dust with a high pressure air line. Last a lifetime.:D

Anyone do caliper decals? I did them on my 6 and they turned out nice. Everone swears up and down it appears like a factory perfomance package. I have better picts but can't post them till I get home from work...in the morning.

I am really leaning toword the argent silver, my second choice is the high gloss black. Thanks all.
I purchased the red epoxy for my prior vehicle and didn’t use it. I decided to use the red on the Marauder and it looks good. I have asked a number of people if they thought black would be better, they have all replied that they like the red. They do attract attention.

Red somethies also equates to "I'm fast race me" in some places. Ask that M3 and Vette who did just that. Was fun to listen/watch them pull away from me! I need to see a few cars with red to fully join te band waggon. Anyone use the kit from tire rack that requires 2 days to dry?

I used these folks in Dallas for some underhood work and was very impressed:

I have no financial interest in them etc...

Craftsman has powdercoat you can bake in your own oven at home.
My Marauder is two-tone black over silver. I went with matte black. Looks great, better-than-stock, shows no brake dust, easy-to-clean.
Have fun.
