anyone try taking the silencer out of the maf folw pipe?

I was thinking of using a 3 inch pvc cap to fill the hole... But, then I thought, naw, I'll just wait for someone to do a cold air kit...

thats what i did,who knows when the kit will come out.i need cheap hp now.looks like if i take the air filter box out and cut a hle in the fendrwell i could run a cold air pipe with a open element k&n and mount it behind the bumper

be real careful not to get any water on it when you do this CAI!

5hp is not worth loosing your engine for if you get stuck in a rain storm and have to drive in deep water. keep that in mind.

Jersey, you can say that again I heard a story of a guy that "modified" his and sucked up a ton of water, right into the engine. Can you say "crate motor"
