Alright I'm at college and someone up here has a Marauder too. I haven't seen the person, but I have talked to his friends and I jokingly said I would race him and they said I'd lose because his car has "naws" and can go 0-60 in less then 3 seconds. I clearly realized this is :bs: and said I would do it in spring when I get my supercharger. I won't say what company because I don't want an arguement to break out. :shake: So if that is the case that this guy just soley has spray could that beat a blown Marauder? I know it depends on the shot and what not, but from a few of you who have it whats does your car run with just spray alone? Is it lower then a 12.8? By the time I was done with my mods I was told I could run a 12.7 before slicks. Keep in mind the car I "challenged" is only on the stock street tires.

A while back, when we had a timeslip database, I calculated the 0-60 MPH for the top ten cars. At that time, Lidio was the fastest with a 3.8 second time. Barry (CruzTaker) was #10 with a 4.8. So, if you consider how these Marauders are set up to run, you're friend's brag seems a bit...Nevermind.

To get that kind of power and performance from a bone stock Marauder, you would need a 150 shot, or, better. Yeah, maybe he could go zero to 60 in 3...Once.

Sprayed Stock Marauder VS S/Ced Marauder

My Money is on the S/Ced Marauder. I dont even think a 150 shot would get a Stock MM into the 12's especially on Street tires and No Convertor.
BTW, 0-60 in Less then 3 seconds would mean that the Sprayed Marauder would also be running mid to low 10's :shake:

Claude was in the 12's I believe on a bone stock 100 shot.

An 80 shot should get me 12.4x or better.

I know when Carfixer, and myself, first installed the NOS on my car two years ago it ran constant 5.0 seconds from 0-60mph. This was with the 75 hp shot, and the car was stock at that point, no other mods. This was measured with Claudes G-Tech, and we made several passes with it. I haven't checked it since then, maybe Macs got the number from the old time slip page. Hope this helps.

Nitrous can do amazing things to these heavy cars. A 100 shot gives you about 125-130ftlbs of TQ at 3000rpm.

The people also said his car has 3 tvs and a sound system so it has weight. I was testing their knowledge and asked if the nitrous was direct port or plurge. :argue: They said they didn't know and then I was like yea it's probably plurge. So basicially I'm dealing with a bunch of idiots, but those were the guys friends... I haven't met the driver or seen his car up close. His friends said they'd put $1000 on the race. I said I would have the car blown then we'll talk and they reacted like I said I'd put a sticker on it or something. haha he thinks he can beat dudes car with a supercharger!! I quote them. So anyway looks like an easy win with people that are all talk, but we'll see. I probably won't do it, at least not for money. Any other opinons here or do we have an actual e.t.? They're talking about moving 4400+ lbs from 0 to 60 MPH in 3 seconds on a motor that does not brag about low end grunt. I don't care what shot it's running, it has to have more than Nitrous to push it that far. Especially if he wants to drive it after it hits 60.

I'm not going to comment on 0-60 times, not worth it. I would be careful if I were you, Claude (Carfixer) ran 12.6 on "naws" 125 shot WET with 4:10's and STOCK tires...this is fact not guesswork.

Here are some more facts, if you Trilogy supercharge and run on STOCK TIRES you will do well to get 12.9's, you are not able to nail it off the line.

I am not going to tell you it's impossible to run faster than 12.9's on JUST a Trilogy with STOCK tires...you better talk to the person that actually did it and find out how...I hate for you to lose your money.

I'd be more then happy to rent your car, but I think you wouldn't let me. Heres the thing I'm In Midland, MI during the week to (which is where I go to college, but I come back to chicago every weekend) so your car would get around 600 miles that week. Sure I would put money on the race and all if you'd let me and I would like the see what kinda gas mileage a blown Marauder can get anyway. I would save this for spring when the roads aren't wet. Hey there Mr. Motorhead. As you may, or may not know, running in the 12's takes a lot of skill... I suggest you get lots of track time in before you go for the gusto. All you need is a car capable of 12.5 and go up in smoke or , worse yet, loose it on a shift. You may wind up with a 13.8

You'll have some great HP in a car with no a$$ end and poor weight transfer.

I know exactly what you mean! I had that happen where I was running in a Marauder that did a 11.97 and my first run was like a 14.3 because it couldn't hook up. (street tires) and eventually I got it to run 13.2, but some say it was the track that was the problem. Yes I agree I would need to make a few passes to get the feel of the car. Mac is that okay with you?

Nah I can top that. A friend where I used to work had a super charge Galant. He said that thing would freaking tear my car up. I just laughed at him. Later that night after closing, he did a few fast burnouts without holding the brakes. Then he asked me to do one..... That was a mistake on his part. I just got new set of rear tires two days before that too. That had to be the biggest burnout I have ever done. I mean, not just a little smoke, I'm talking about smoke everywhere. Like that one MarauderMark did behind the Carolina Ale House. There were tire chunks flying out of my rear tires and I could hear them flying off even after I had taken off. To this day, a month later, there are still two very long, very black, tire marks in that parking lot. That's how big that burnout was. That dude with the Galant never talked crap about my car ever again..... :burnout: and that was with stock gears! The funny thing is my assistant manager was there and he encourage me to do it. He couldn't stop going on about that incident for weeks, in a good way. He thought it was the crazziest thing he ever saw.

I asked him to take his car to Moroso a few times but he decided not to. Besides, he's too busy on the weekends going to clubs. He takes every saturday off just to go clubbing.
