Ok i went to get in my car yesterday and the remote keychain wouldn't unlock it. So i unlocked it with the key and tried my power door locks inside the car and they also don't work.Along with the remote trunk release on the lower door panel. I have checked all the fuses and there good. What else could be wrong?

The controller is inside the front door skin bottom left.
Could it be that a harness is loose?

Ok i spent the entire day on this problem. I checked all the fuses, replaced the module behind the driver's door panel, and also the lighting control module in the left side dash. Anybody got any ideas to what else it could be?:help:

I think it is your Trilogy Super Charger causing the problem. You should remove it immediately and send it to me. I will install it on my '04 and see if I have the same problem.

Seriously, my locks sometimes 'stick' a bit. I wonder if there is a central relay that is giving the entire system trouble. Do you get any noise when you operate the key-pad of door switches? Have you pulled and pushed on each one of the stems? How 'bout the child safety locks?

Good God, I just had the same thing happen to MM#2 last weekend, and to lesser extent throughout the week.

Coincidentally, I had just read the thread about the numeric keypad functions and had just begun using them for about a week before it happened. On Saturday I was on my way home and all of a sudden the power locks began cycling non-stop (lock, unlock, lock, unlock, lock, unlock... all doors simultaneously). It was snowing and I was on a highway in a snowstorm so I didn't have much brainpower to spare on detail-collecting, but I tried actuating the power lock/unlock button a few times, as well as the power window cutout button (it's right next to it) until finally it stopped cycling for good and now the power locks wouldn't work at all.

When I got home, I tried using my remote fob to unlock the doors but all I got was the flicking of the dash/headlights (which acknowledges the remote opener received my order to unlock) but no indication of life from the power locks... not even a click (beyond the click associated with the lights).

Once the kids were indoors, I came back out and tried the numeric keypad door locking sequence. That worked, as did the trunk opening and unlocking functions. A few seconds later, the lock/unlock/... cycling began once again, and I played with the power lock button on the driver's armrest until it sputtered a few times and stopped.

The next day it was still dead but by Monday it was working as usual (with the exception of some evidence of it having either unlocked itself or re-locked itself overnight). I park indoors at work, so I couldn't blame the cold when it happened to me briefly as I left work later that day.

I have not had any reoccurrence of the out-of-control activity, but I still occasionally come to the car to find there has been some power lock activity since I was last with the car. It'll be a week tomorrow. We'll see how it goes. (I've really stopped caring...)

Check for power to the switches. If there is none, see if there is a dealer that has the wiring diagram book. Use it to find where the harness goes to from the lock switches.

Could be a KB pedal. No Joke.

Maybe not the pedal, but the 2 molex connectors from the door plug in directly under/behind the parking brake release behind the plastic panel where the DP installs. I unplugged mine while installing the DP to ge them out of the way. Could those be loose/unplugged? Worth a check?

Skimmed the initial post of this problem a couple of days ago. Then it happened to my MM this morning.:bigcry: Well, the warranty is up so it looks like its now up to me to fix this one. I have a copy of the MM manual on DVD so thats where research on the wiring to the power door locks will begin.

Marauder302, I will make sure you get updates on anything I find.

I solved the problem for my MM but I don't know if this will help Marauder302. Tracked the problem down to #8 in the fuse block underneath the hood. Fuse was good but had managed to wiggle itself loose and become corroded. A couple swipes with some steel wool and it was all healed.

MM302, you mentioned that the fuse was good. Could the contacts be corroded? Good Luck.

Ok that would be great. I have an appointment at my local ford dealer next week. So if i got it fixed before then it would save me alot of money.:)
