Looking the Denso Iridium plugs up on the net yields a part number of IT16 for our MM, but I believe I've read here that IT20 should be used. Which is correct?

I have run Densco IT20's for the last 20K. Got 'em from D.R. when I went to Stage I, and have had ZERO problems. I noticed an immediate increase in performance and feel they are well worth the price.

rayjay, cooler plugs (the IT20s) can be useful when you have a custom tune that has aggressive spark/fuel tables, but generally they are only used when the provider of that tune suggests them. I know Dennis recommends them with a lot of his tunes, but you may want to check with whomever tuned your car last.

I had a set of Denso plugs that I got with my DR stage 1 kit
Theyt did not last at all, I put 20k miles on them and at the end the car ran very badly
The plugs...all of them were leaking compression some worse than others

I ditched mine after 6k as well.
Seriously, save about $75 and buy AMERICAN cooler Motorcraft plugs.
Use the money save to take the woman out foir a nice dinner.
It's a win-win SCENARIO.
MOTORCRAFT (COOLER VARIETY) = AWSFA12C $35 A SET.
My performance does not lie.;)

Thanks for the good advice folks. My tune is somewhat aggressive, picked up 30 hp and 50# torque across the board. It was last summer and I can't remember if we discussed changing to cooler plugs. Thanks for the heads up Barry, and you're numbers certainly don't lie. :coolman:

AWSFA12C, has this plug been upgraded? A couple places on the net show it as discontinued?

RayJay...call our member 'The Dealer' for the best wholesale price. Or order directly from your dealer and pay more.
You will not find these plugs over the counter, but you will find a lot of wierd stories such as the one you posted. Some parts places swear it doesn't even exist.:shake:
As far as S/C applications....ask Lidio. However, I do not believe he goes along with the cooler plug theory. I am sure he will give you an opinion on the M/C plug in general.
