Well its time to give my car "the treatment". I need a REAL detail. Not one of these 2 hour deals you get on your corner hand wash place, but a full days worth of a "spa treatment". Inside of rims done, engine bay, under carriage, clay bar, full interior, ect. I have too many swirl marks and blemishes to correct them myself anymore. I am looking for someone to make my car look like its off to be auctioned at the Millionaires club. If Rider90 lived around here, Id have him do it. Anyone around here interested in a side job on a Sunday or something???? Know of a place??? I want it done by the Picnic.
Same question, but for Central Florida. And, about how much can one expect to pay to get this done?

You should drive over to Cobra25's house. Everytime I ride by he's out during the day detailing his car. You know he uses a tooth brush to clean his engine bay? That's dedication right there.....:help:

MarauderMarc,
Greetings from Sunny, chilly Maryland!
I detail cars for myself, including 2 MMs and a C5 Vette. From my experience, it will take about a day and a half timewise. If you were nearer me, I'd volunteer to teach you. Mostly, just need a jack and losts of patience, plus the necessary cleaners, clay and such. If someone paid me, I'd charge about $300 to $400. That would include pulling all 4 tires.
BTW, I have a few trophies from showing our Vette. I usually get First place; have one Second place. Have to be Nuts and real anal for this kind of stuff!!!
You could drive up to North Myrtle Beach this summer and I'd teach you at our Beach House!
Good Luck finding a good guy.

He is one of the detailers, And he used to work at my local car wash. He does really good work. He is the only one I ever let touch my car. Since he left the local car wash I havnt gone back. Ill call him and ask him if he would be willing to go up there and do your car or maybe you can come down to my place and have him do the work there.

Might want to look around in Meguiar's forums - they have some before & after shots that are amazing... http://meguiarsonline.com/
I bet you could find a pro on there.

I used to work for a place called Detail Masters...It usually took any where from a day to a day and a half to clean the whole car and would charge about $225.00....and depending on your weather should be done every six months...lucky me though...I get a $50.. discount evertime I go back
