Why would anybody do that to a marauder? I thinks your life span will go from 150,000 miles to 40,000.........Am I wrong?

Nitrous is a great thing if Installed correctly and used correctly. For big cars like ours it can provide some amazing TQ to help them. Also $ per HP its the best upgrade you can make.

Superchargers and turbo's can kill your engine just as fast if you get greedy and don't understand that to get the most of it you need to do several little "supportive upgrades"

I've ran nitrous for almost 8 years now. I've had the same kit installed on a Taurus LX (first car LOL), V8 Taurus SHO, Explorer 5.0, and my stang. I've just recently taken it off only to wait for the results of my S-trim. Never once have I had a problem. I've used 75-150hp shots. Oh and as for engine life. My stang shortblock lasted 140k with about 80k of those miles I put on with alot of street racing, I'd sometimes use 3 bottles worth on the weekends years ago. I ran enough nitrous through that car to supply a dentists office for life. :)

Not to hijack the thread but what supportive upgrades need to be made when S/Cing to prolong the engine life?

Absolutly, Just like Mike said. Also having a strong igntion system and good plugs is very important.

I'm taking a dive into the supercharged world this weekend when my MAF gets here and I can fire the stang up.

I for one am going to do a 100 shot.

As long as you have an experienced tuner, cough Lidio cough, than it is safer than baby powder.
