Saturday I had a new set of KDWS's installed. The tech told me that I had a bad rear drivers side shock. He said he noticed it leaking when it was on the lift. Im under 20k miles, does anyone know if this would be covered under my warranty? Two days ago I thought I heard a loud pop when I was driving, I believe during a turn. Anyways this isnt something that would normally go with a car that has lower miles, so Im hoping it will be covered.
On another note, the idiots put my 245s on the passenger side of the car and the 235s on the drivers side, which I didnt notice until I got home. This was after I specifically told them to put the bigger ones on the rear. :argh:

I know my dealer has replaced shocks under 3/36 warranty--find a dealer that knows something about the Marauder--It is stupid that there are still service dep'ts that dont know a d--- thing about our cars--get those wheels back where they belong NOW----Good Luck, Maury

That would be the last time they ever touched my car! I had shocks replaced under warranty on another Ford product at 21k. I had one leaking and they replaced all 4.

It probably should have been the last time they touched it but I thought they were the ones who messed it up so dammit they should fix it. I took it right back up there and WATCHED them get it right this time. When I told the guy what he did this dumbfounded look appeared on his face.

Happens all the time to me, I have to go out there and show the tech the reason why the big ones go on the rear. I have even had a couple argue with me saying ti doesnt matter

Ridinclean,
My left rear took a dump also. The dealership was such a pain to handle, I bought it from the Motorcraft supplier and did it myself. After leakage, it absolutely failed and would hold the suspension inclined until it shook loose. Very odd occurence for a shock. Good luck,

If your MM is still under base warranty, take it in. It will be covered.

I've had problem with both front coil over shocks and rear shocks leaking. I am taking mine in today for the second time. The first time I took it in they handed the machanic regular shocks to put on. Then he got it up on the rack to look and noticed they where different. If I had a question about fishing, hunting, or what wine goes with possum I would trust my Ford dealer but to work on my baby it very scary...

It depends on your policy. I have PremiumCare and they are covered.

The right rear shock on my Marauder failed and its replacement was covered by the factory warranty.
Oddly enough, my driver's front shock started to go south Monday. By Tuesday afternoon it was totally locked up. No suspension bounce at all. I'm curious if the guys with Eibach springs are experiencing the same thing and presuming it's the springs. I can feel a dime in the road right now. Right-hand on ramps are a blast though. Weren't available locally, had them ordered for later in the week. I guess this gives me reason to cut those front springs down a hair  .
