Driving home today I noticed an ecessive amount of heat coming from the driver side floorboard. I have driven the car hard plenty of times and never felt as much heat as I did today. I was wondering if anyone out there has had a similar problem and if so what is it and what can I do to fix it....I checked the temp gauge and it was normal.

Drive it hard, pull into a parking lot, peek under it and bring marshmellows? I've heard of the hot cats before, this is a common Panther-Platform issue.

Negative. Time for a new one, bro. You're still in warranty, aren't you?

Yeah, me too. I ran out in September. When my time comes, I'll shut off the rear O2 sensors, and go with a couple high-flow cats and an X-pipe.

Catalytic Converters are covered for a much longer period than the 3/36 the Marauder came with.
The Catalytic Converter is covered for 8 years & 80,000 miles.
I don't think you've gone past that yet.

Yeah, but, in my eyes, I threw my warranty away when I bolted the blower on. While Rob may be able to benefit from this, I don't think it would be fair for FOMOCO to pick up the same tab for my car...

I think I saved the org set of pipes with the cats . If so they have less than 3900 miles on them, like new. I'll have to dig out my parts box tommarrow and I'll let you know. If I do, their yours if you need them.

The emisions do carry a long warrenty but if you had a retune they,Ford, will blame you for that.
You could have a problem on that bank causing an over rich condition that will take out a converter in no time.
I suggest you stay out of the throttle and have Dennis ,or another performance minded person look over your hard parts.
Bad injector?,Spark plug?Coil?
All could cause too much fuel to end up taking out a converter.
BTW that converter is toast so you need at least one.
