To me - and my Marauder! At exactly this time 2 years ago, I had just filled up the MM for the first time and was starting the 770 mile trip back to Lufkin from Superior Ford in Athens, TN.
Found the car on ebay, made the deal with the owner of the dealership while he was at the Ford dealer's convention in Vegas (I'm thinking that may have helped me on the price!), and all I had to do was sign three or four pieces of paper once I got to the dealer. It was clean and ready to go after sitting on the dealer's lot for 18 months. Since it was the first Marauder I'd ever driven, I was a little nervous about making the wrong choice. Not very many miles on the interstate had me convinced that it was the right choice. And I never even got it above 3K rpm on the way home! That's where the fun starts!
Once I got it home, had the oil changed and made the first run to 6K, woooodogies!
I'm disappointed in some of the quality issues, and I don't like having to buy premium fuel, especially since the 3V 4.6 is making 300hp on regular fuel now, but I really enjoy driving the car. People still stop, turn and stare at the car when it goes by, and that's a lot of fun.
It's been fun with the many friends that I've made on the forum and met at the events we've been to. My wife even enjoys the car, and my 7 year old daughter says she wants to have it when she starts driving.
Here's to the next two years!!
