By the way guys, I forgot to mention that those are all SSM cars from Central Florida. This was done in Photoshop, using a picture from one of our local meets, and another picture I took in San Francisco.

The background in the original car shot was cluttered with normal car meet distractions, and just didn't look good on it's own, so I kind of helped it out.

It's nice...

But BlACK should be first!

Yaknow, I tried to make a BIG font and a better color, to try and be funny, but it just did NOT work out for me... now, I'm depressed.

John, you are toying with my emotions. Two of my favorite things in the the world, Marauders and the Golden Gate. And it turns out just to be an illusion. :(:(:(:(:(

Someone should organize such a photo!

I have always wanted to get a picture of the four colors, but I think there are only 1 or 2 Blues in MN.

jeremy PS no green, purple, or orange allowed.

Very nice work, thank you.

If you could photoshop the front license plates, I'd like to explore some Marauder post cards.

Very nice work, thank you.

If you could photoshop the front license plates, I'd like to explore some Marauder post cards.I'll see what I can do Mac. I saved my changes for a web sized file. If I can't fix it because of the small file size and make it look good, I may have to do it all over again. It's a little work, but if you are serious about post cards, I'd be happy to do it.

John, Penny, the art teacher; says the 2 dark cars should be seperated by the silver birch...so next time we all go to the bridge we will have to remember that. I think both you and I like the DTR in FRONT. No disrespect but we need some billing too...Just ask the J man. Screen saver here, too. Replaced Claude and Chuck with the install of my Trilogy(July SSM Calendar)...they will alternate now. Thanks. Dennis

This was the way the cars got parked, and little did I know anyone would question the order of the lineup. Had I known, I would have shuffled them around. It's just funny that we had exactly one car of each color show up that evening. I think the DTR looks pretty good up front too. . . .

Yes, a trick of presentation .....

I used to use it all the time when I worked for a car dealership.

By breaking up lights & darks ..... it gives each color a more unique appeal to ones eye(& hopefully their wallet).

Not something done as easily down here in FL at a dealership ..... when mgmt goes ape ordering mostly lighter color after lighter color in and out (yawn .....)

Regardless that is a great photo - awesome job John !.

I guess at this point we aren't really trying to convince people to open up their wallets, but I can see how that logic would work on a large lot with many cars.

Let's see, does the lime green go between the black and red, or does it look better behind the brown dumpster? :baaa:

Someone should organize such a photo!jdando, it's actually not an illusion. . . . the Marauders are real, and the Golden Gate Bridge is real, they just didn't happen to be in the same picture. Yes, someone should organize a professional shot like that. This one just happened, and like I have said earlier, the background was crap. It's all better now. . . . :D

Cool, I guess it can happen more than once. Trust me, my background wasn't great either. Your's is easy to fix. A good chainsaw and a bulldozer will clean that right up.

Seriously, it could be done on your shots too. It just takes time, and patience. I'm still learning all the tricks in Photoshop, and have a long way to go.

Next time you get a chance at a shot like that, take charge. . . move them around, and put them all in the order you want. Or. . . . just say screw it, and cheat, like I did.

Another presentation tip ......

Try to keep the noses of the cars even.

Get your 1st car where ya' want it. Then .....

Line up the back edge of the side view mirror on car # 2, to the back edge of the side view mirror on car # 1. Then do the same for car #3 in relation to car # 2, car #4 to #'3, so on & so forth, etc etc.

Another dealership trick.

A+ on presentation of product for sale. Gives the false impression that the sales dept is well organized - on top of things and really knows what they're doing.

The more than likely "behind the scenes" reality often is .....

It's the same ole' typical confusion - chaos - politics - laziness - lack of product knowledge and false promises, that goes on in the sales dept of damn near every other dealership, just a different name out front.

lol

Hey, the Silver MM is Mike's. It took 20 minutes to get it in that good.

When there is  involved CAM Members have determined that the rush for refreshments take precedence over parking alignment. J/K

The refreshments came before you parked the cars ?.

Hey John, I wish the announcement about the Cypress Gardens Cruise would generate just a fraction of what this picture has done! I must say it again - this is the coolest picture I've seen in a looooong time! And it is coming back to me. We went to San Fran back in November, right? I have several days back then I can't account for in memory or calendar. Abouot mid-November, right? Or was it October? Sure was a pretty day! :rasta: http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/2/6/6/2/MMSFweb.jpg
