If anyone has ever driven in or around the Hampton/Norfolk/Virginia Beach area during morning rush hour, you know how much it sucks. If you don't know, it sucks, now you know. Anyway, miracle of miracles, I had enough of a break in traffic to trounce on it while Motley Crue was screaming "10 seconds to love" at full blast. I looked down and was at 100 when I hit the overdrive, at 110 I lifted, I was running up on traffic again. What a ruuuuusssh!!!! Had to share, thanks for reading along, goodwill towards man and peace on Earth, Wind, and Fire.

Ya'll be careful on those roads down there in the Tidewater area. VDOT hasn't actually had the "First Team" doing the design, engineering, and construction of the improvements along I-64. :rolleyes: Have they repaired or replaced that section of concave highway that collected water like Lake Ponchartrain when it rains ?? :dunno: Man, that's in the Highway 101 design book .... drainage, drainage, drainage. :D

They are slowly but slowly repairing the drainage problem, Blue. Certain parts of I-64 have been under construction since I moved here in 1993. I think this area is where they send first year VDOT employees to practice.

The fastest I went thru one of the tunnels around here was thru the Monitor/Merrimack tunnel. I was cruising along at about 4 a.m. on my way to the shipyard and the digital mph sign changed from 55 to 95!! I was the only car around and I figured the folks in the tower were bored and messing with people as they got to the tunnel so I came out the other side doing 110. I thought what the Hell, if i get a ticket it will only be for 15 over the posted limit. Nothing happened. :D

Hey I've only had mine up to 90, but that's regular traffic on some interstates in North Carolina. On the WV Turnpike that's still somewhat relaxed but a little more fun.

Pushed mine out to the max at 125 MPH BEFORE the SCT tuner. Haven't tried maxing out since then. Waiting for Summer.

I hit 160 MPH in tunnel in my Jag. It felt like..... fast. No worries!

I actually let my Wife drive it home from a party we went to (responsible drinking) and she was cruising at 90 and she didn't know it. Told she was doing more like 100 'cause of the extra tall tires. She says, "cool". Why is it if I go over 75 she's bitshin' at me? Oh well, it was nice to chouferred anyway....

100 and thats as far as I would trust the stock brakes. 2 tons of fun is not fun when being cut off by a Va driver ;) Also is it like here where you go to work the same way and one day the offramp signs are the total opposite?

I did 140 on my way to visit my friend on Jan 2. I guess I would have tried to go more if our speedo would tell me what I'm doing.

CBT, 110 on 64 in that area? You're a brave man! Last month, 3am, NYS T-Way, through the Montezuma swamp, no one in sight for several miles, 135 and climbing when it dawned on me I was connected to the road by S rated snow tires, oops... :help:

I have a reflective life sized road sign that says SPEED LIMIT 150

Carfixers specs are awesome. Had it done on mine about 3 weeks ago and it feels perfect at all speeds. Even with my snows, the car takes corners amazing. Do we owe him royalties or something....?

i as driving on rt 13? i think it is, right before the chesapeke bay bridge tunnel. doing 83 in a 55. didnt have my reg. and im from mass he told me it was reckless driving. then told me to have a nice day. what a guy!!
