Does anyone else out there have a chrome shift bezel? If so, can you post pictures of it? I have one and I am curious to see what the O/D and shift buttons look like on other similarly equipped cars. Are those buttons chrome or something else?

Marty Your MM must have been built during the transition of the 300A to 300B. They must have used the parts that they had available at the time. Yours is the only one I have seen with the chrome shifter. As said before the MM's are like snowflakes no two are the same. John:)

The Grand Marquis LSE was produced with a chrome shift bezel. I have not seen another MM with a chrome shift bezel...

Hey Marty, I checked the Kelly Blue book site and couldnt find anything about a Grand Marquies with that on it! Have thought about replaceing with a wood grain shifter??? But Chrome would be a nice touch!!!!!!!

I believe the expression is polishing my knob, not my bezel, but that's another thread in another forum and you fine, upstanding individuals would have no interest in that.....

mine has the chrome shifter post, button and bezel. was changed under warranty as the OEM metal metrix one did not match the dash.

Joflewbyu2: Is the O/D button chrome or grey?

overdrive button is black plastic with white "O/D" lettering. shift button is chrome, post is chrome and bezel is chrome.

Thanks jo. Mine is just like that and I wasn't sure how the O/D button should look. I think all of the MM's should have come with the chrome bezel.

I agree Marty. I really like the chrome but not sure If I want to have to tear up the console or let a dealer monkey do it.

I heard that the Marauders that came with chrome shift bezels also mistakenly had Sable V6's and front wheel drive......but of course I could be wrong.

Is this what you are looking for? Doesn't show the button.

cyled: Yes, if the photo was taken from the other direction (looking toward the passenger's side instead of toward the driver's side) this would be what I want to see. Obviously, although the cabin on this car is similar (I assume it is a CV Sport), this photo is not of the MM but you can see how good (in my opinon) the chrome shift bezel looks.
