Air ride fun?

Has anybody ever tapped into the air-ride system? Are we just a couple fittings and an air hose away from using the compressor to fill a flat tire?

I think the system works great so I'm not eager to mess it up... but I had a flat a couple of weeks ago and my $29 compressor was in the truck.

Its probably not worth doing... but then again it could be a clever addition.

I wouldn't try it. The compressor is only supposed to work for a short time. Extended running like pumping up a tire might fry it.

I wouldn't use our compressor for this but, I have friend who does a lot of off road stuff. He got a air suspension compressor from the wrecking yard from a cadilac (I believe) to use for refilling tires after airing them down. He mounted in a old bronco put in the engine compartment. It works and hasen't burned up.
