I have only used my gray valet key once or twice before and each time it has worked w/ no problems. Last night, I went out to dinner and I used valet parking, but the key wouldnt work. It would turn in the ignition but the car wouldnt turn on.
This may sound dumb, but is something that turns valet mode on and off? Or is the transponder in the key damaged? Thanks in advance for your thoughts/input.

You have to be a valet for the key to work.

If you have the other 2 regular keys, you can program the valet key again. If that does not work and you are still in 3/36 warranty, your dealer may replace it at no charge.

I had the same problem with my valet key and my wife's key. Neither one had been used in the car for over a year when she discovered that her key wouldn't start my car! (She was only wants to drive it once in a great while since she has a new vehicle of her own). Anyway, tried the valet key that was on the hook in the house and had the same results. Just took the car to the dealer and they reprogrammed both under warranty. Neither key was near anything else to deprogram, in fact the valet key had been on the hook and not been moved (collected dust!). The dealer could not explain what happened, but I will now be using the keys once a month just in case!
