Most if not all of us who "did it ourselves" used the G3 Caliper paint obtained from Eastwood Company. We mail ordered.
You may have a chance of finding a retailer local in an area such as yours.

I will have to check when I get home, but I bought one of the caliper paint kits from O'Reily's when I had my Honda Accord. It came with a cleaner, and brush on paint. It went on quite nicely, but I did only use black. I am planning on the same setup for the Marauder this spring when the stock wheels go back on and this time going with red. Just want to figure out a way to put the word "Marauder" on the calipers (kind of like the Porsche Big Reds and Yellows that say "Porsche" on them).
I did about 3 coats on each caliper and the stuff dries relatively quickly. Quick enough that I could do all 3 coats on each caliper before moving to the next corner. And with the Marauder wheels I figure the calipers will be easier to wipe down at each washing without having to remove the wheels to do it.

I know it means taking some brake stuff apart (and the car will be down in the interim) and bleeding the system too, but has anyone considered powdercoating? Jet Hot ceramic coating?
I have a few sets of calipers now (Thanks, Brian (FordNut) and Zack!) and I'm going to try these processes. The OEM calipers (front and rear) are very rough cast surfaces, I'll be polishing them down as best I can, but that's a lot of polishing too. I'm hoping that powder coating and Jet-Hot ceramic coating (which looks like chrome plating) will act as a fill and leave a smooth surface without a lot of grinding and polishing. I'll keep y'all posted.
IMHO, any brake appearance mod doesn't look just right without some attention to the rotor hats. 'Collar and cuffs" should match, eh?
BTW, my rear calipers were polished and chrome plated two years ago, to match my polished Baer's in front. No problems, they look brand new every time I wipe them down.
Just my .02C, carry on Gents.

Any suggestions for the stock rotor hats? Can you use the same caliper paint on them, too? And should they be matched to the caliper? I was kind of thinking red caliper and black rotor hat.

Barry, you mentioned having extra brushes, what size and what type of bristles?
CRUZTAKER

The brushes need not be real expensive high quality.
The G3 PRODUCT is pretty volatile on the brushes, particularly real hair variety. You won't be cleaning them, and you'll need spares if you make this project take a few hours. The paint cures on the brushes, and you will need to swap out a few times during the course of detailing.
This, bear in mind, only happens if you are a detail neat freak like I am, and push the application process to the limits.
See the attachment below, and see the lower left side of the pic. You want a couple spare brushes like those.;)

BTW:
One last note on the G3 PRODUCT....I used it on my Control Arms, and my Driveshaft loop as well.
NICE!

Dave, how long did it take for you to get your Baar brakes? I called yesterday and they said 8-10 weeks out.

Thanks Dave for the info. I may go with DR's brake deal he is working for the time being. Haven't decided if I want to wait that long for the Baer's.

WAIT for the Baers. I have driven and tried just about every brake combo, except Todds, and nothing compares to the Baers. Do yourself the favor...

I have Baer Claws on my 01 Mustang GT with 13" rotors at all 4 wheels. They are unreal for stopping power. Your right Dave, it will be worth the wait.
