When I'm backing up and put it into drive it takes a long time before it engauges. I mean its not like 4 seconds. But its longer than any auto ford I've ever had. Is this a common thing or something I should get addressed before my warranty flys away?
Thanks.

How's the fluid level? If full, get her in there! Trannies don't come cheap.

There was a TSB about this a long time ago. Problem: cable adjustment.

Have it checked by the dealer before your warranty expires.

I had mine done and have seen many OASIS reports with the claim for it, too.

Both my MMs take a long time getting into or out of reverse (mostly out of reverse into drive, like when backing out of a driveway - can take 2-3 seconds, even worse when it's really cold out).

Anything and everything is a warranty issue until proven otherwise. :D

I've noticed this too but solved it by going to park and then into gear. Sometimes a little annoying but go up to park and then back down, no hesitation.

Interesting, I will try this tomorrow morning, or next time it's really cold. Perhaps the badly-adjusted shift cable affects some sort of line pressure in the tranny?

Mine used to take a little time to move when going into reverse when i had the stock tune. Scary situation when parallel parking. Hasn't done it since DR's tune.

Yea it does it BAD when I pull out of the driveway in the morning without letting the car warm up for 5-10 minutes.
I'll get this addressed then when she goes in for the new paint. :)
Thanks again guys!
