What I would like from the MercuryMarauder.Net crew is a group of four individuals chosen because they have experience with the paint quality of the Marauder as it left St. Thomas Assembly and because they are probable customers for the new 2007 GT500. I am looking for Marauder owners who have placed their names on waiting lists at various Ford dealers for the GT500.

The clinic would be held on Saturday morning, February 25, 2006 at Auto Alliance. I will have four new GT500s there, coupe and convertible, stripes and stripe delete for you guys to review.

Work on a list of people and I will give you more details early next week.

No, not at all. As long as you fit the criteria asked for, and dont mind driving to Michigan, you are more than welcome. I happen to know the guy requesting this and he knows that our club has a lot of local guys that fit the bill and asked for my help recruiting.

Just tell him to please wipe down the jambs before apllying the finish coats!!!

Well Jim, to sum it up for you, I have no idea, wait, yes I do. I will take a silly stab in the dark at this question...Perhaps because it is being held at the production plant, in Michigan? Where they make the Mustangs? I wasnt involved in the Ford Thinktank that came up with this, so the mystery may never be solved. As I informed Bluerauder, ANY MM.net Memeber that has experienced paint problems on their Marauder, AND is SERIOUSLY considering a SHELBY Mustang is WELCOME to attend. I posted up in the MCM forum because I seriously doubted folks would travel from out of state to look over 4 Shelby Mustangs for an hour or two. Don't hang me because its here in the Motor City. He knows that there are enough local Marauder owners to fit the bill, but still opened it to everyone on MM.net, so folks, hop on a plane and join us. I will even help arrange accomodations.

I was just informed that there will be no cameras or cellphones allowed inside the area we are going to. They also said that there will be a guard assigned to watch the cars while we are there. So I guess the Pics are out of the question then!

I am all tingly on the inside over this one too! Lidio is positively Giddy. Where else can we look at, sit in, drool on and over, maybe drive?! four of the hottest musclecars of our time? I was told there will be two coupes, and two convertibles. One of each will be stripped, the other two will not have stripes. And They are buying us lunch! Hell Yeah....

This was an awesum time. Thanks to John and the SVT crew for allowing us our chance to speak up and critique the car. They had 4 GT500s for us to examine. Performance White w/Vista Blue striped Coupe, Black w/Grey striped Coupe, Alloy Grey Convertible w/ out stripes, and Valencia Orange Convertible w/ out stripes. I love the new vented hood Design, and will wait till they go into production to get one for my 06 GT. That will mean converting the front fascia and upper and lower grills to the ones on the Cobra, but they look better anyway. The Ford guys were great and all 12 guests had a great time. Wasnt a whole lot to find on those cars to change or improve, but they took detailed notes on every comment we made. After a nice lunch, it was a great day for a cruise in the Mustant. For the entire trip there and back, 23 mpg, not to shabby for a V8 Mustang! Nice seeing Jerry and Jeff again...sup guys!

The "orange" color was OK. It looked more like the second picture Dave posted. Seems like a "yellow" to me.

It was nice to talk over stuf with the Mustang/SVT/production guys. They were really interested in what we had to say. It was also interesting to hear about all the "little things" these guys have to worry about when getting this thing into production.

These cars are gonna be awesome!

BTW Dave: I see that the pics you posted are a V6 car. Did you notice the spoiler? Not the "wing" on the current car, but not the same as the GT500 either. I still like the GT500 spoiler best...

I showed off thost pics to the best Mustang Site in the world, since this is a new color for the Mustang , and on the brand new V6 Pony Car. Well...the site owner sees these as "Spy Pictures" and Loved them! Now they grace the front page of the Mustang Source Forum.
