After installling the Metco driveshaft hoop & Watts link (to compliment the Metco upper & lower control arms), Ford Racing 8.8 rear stud kit and stud girdle, Addco rear sway bar and changed the oil & filter (approaching 30K)on Saturday. My son and I drove to Fayetteville Motorsports Park (http://www.fayettevillemotorsportspar k.com/). $10.00 to get in and $10.00 to race (test & tune Sunday). As this was my 1st time doing the 1/4 mile I researched some of the previous posts about launching the MM. I go around the water box, do a small burnout to get the debris off the tires, check that the A/C is off, T/C off & O/D off. Light the pre-stage lite, check everything again. Roll forward to light the staged lites, power brake and bring the RPM's up to 1,400 - 1,500. As the last yellow lite lights I take my foot off the brake and try to push the "GO" pedal thru the firewall..................... what a rush!!! Ran mid 14's all day long (6 runs). Smoked alot of rice except for a turbo'd SRT. Alot of suprised people last Sunday didn't know a 4,000+ lb 4dr sedan could do that! I'll be going back......:D :banana2: :D :banana2:

My son ran his '99 Camaro - 340HP NA, 412HP Nitrous - 75 shot, long tube headers ran 12.09's on motor, 11.56's on nitrous.

Edit: should have a video soon.

Good deal! Hey the link don't work. I need to add it to my list as I may be spending a little time in the Brunswick area in a month or two.

Fayetteville is every Sunday weather permitting. It's test & tune so you either run alone or run against whomever stages beside you. Admission is $10.00 per person and $10.00 to race. Most amount of fun I've had w/ $20.00 in a long time......

Sounds like alot of fun--make a day of it...how far from me and what time on Sundays does it open.??...I think I'll need some QA's to eliminate those spacers---not to keen on using those with my 305's----plus I still need those extra wider wheels----oh hummmm..gotta get another lotto ticket..........

You would take 74 East to I95 North, From I-95, take exit 46A. Go South on Hwy. 87, turn right at the flashing lights on to Doc Bennett Road. You'll find us 1.5 miles on the left. Looks like about 165 miles. Track opens at 1300 to 1700 every Sunday weather permitting.

Don't feel bad about the Turbo Neons. Thoose suckers look like Civic SI's but they'll sneak up on you and bite you in the ass! I should know, I lost to one on my first run with my car too.
