After the that they should show the two MM smoking it at the strip Even better...Showing the video of the same GT with all those shots and then a MM walking on it. Then cut to the GT owner with his head jerk sharp left and then traind on it as it passes(remember vid shows helmet)! Priceless!

Same colors as the one we have in our showroom right now. The boss sold his blue/white one and we had a grey one come through not too long ago. I remember walking around the corner as they were pulling it up from detail and the salesman asked me if I was going to get one next and I answered him that I don't drive slow cars... the buyer was standing next to him... oops!

Ford’s been way to conservative the last few decades and they finally admitted it on Blue Monday a couple of weeks ago with the big news they made about all the plant closings and lay-off’s that are coming.
Ever since I started paying attention to the Ford scene in the early 80’s, they’ve never showed any real aggressive advertising when it came to their performance cars. Starting with the rebirth of performance with the ’82 Mustang GT and the F-body’s to follow from GM.

When the Marauder started to happen in mid 2002, I only saw one commercial for the MM on TV and that was it. It was the only one they made I believe, and I only seen it one time ever… at a time when Cadillac was (and still is) airing three to five spots in just one episode of “NYBD Blue”… Ford wouldn’t even show one, or maybe for a mini-van or an F-150.

Steve Babcock would say they didn’t have a big budget, I don’t buy it, we’re talking Ford motor company here, how could they not swing a few bucks for few more commercials a night? The MM was slated to be canceled before it even got a chance. Someone, I think, thought maybe because that it was big and tough looking and above all only came in black, they might have believed it would give Ford a bad look or image. Maybe if they would have made the other colors available sooner it would have softened or made the car not look so menacing or something like that… who knows.

The bottom line is they’ve made some mistakes and its coming back to them. Just look at Chrysler right now… seems that people want big sedans with big V-8s that are rear drive after all. No one can predict what will be a big hit and what wont. But you can at least throw in there face a little more and see what comes of it. Not just slap a price tag on it and expect them to come buy them. This may be easy with name plates like the Mustang or the necessity’s like a SUV or minivan, the MM could have done much better even at its slightly over priced sticker had it simply been marketed better. In my opining, the MM didn’t really get recognized until mid 2004. Yes we knew about it but I mean the laymen’s and non enthusiasts didn't catch on to it for a while.

To bad the Sport-trac “Adrenaline” has already been cancelled. Big surprise coming from Ford. I don’t know why they have to make the Mustang the only thing to come with a performance V-8. This is why I melted when I seen and heard of the modern Marauder for the first time, “finally another rear drive performance car from Ford that wasn't a Mustang” I thought to my self.

I think Chrysler’s formula of making an SRT version of just about every thing they produce is one sweet deal. You’ll never see Ford ever do some thing like that, not in my life time I’ll bet. There is nothing wrong with that if people want it, and they seem to with the Mopar crowd. I’m not in any way a Chrysler fan, but in the last three weeks I’ve now driven two different Chargers with only the 5.7 340HP Hemi, and the 5-speed automatic that I didn’t even know that had, I gota admit, these things run really good, they don’t look good in my opining, but the motor an trans feel dam good all around.

I think Fords overly conservative thinking has lead them to believe that bad-ass cars can some how or another lead to degraded sales in other vehicle departments.

With the advent of E-85 fuels which I think could really lead to great things and reduced costs at the pump. I don’t know what the big car company’s are waiting for as usual.
