Well tonite was the SSM Smackdown at Moroso, I managed one of the best runs ever. Sweet. Paper speaks louder than words

I still cant believe it, all that with 3.55s, and a pair of Nitto DR's that saw action in WWI, they were toast before I started and now are petrified chunks of rubber. Time for some fresh meat....
My mods are Trilogy #104, 3.0 pulley SVT Focus pump, 3K stallion TC, full exhaust custom (ala Grand Muffler), Metco Upper and Lowers, Addco's front and rear, Baer brakes, K&N, custom tune from Scott Beer (Nationally respected tuner, based Locally).
Fresh rubber and better traction, hello 11 second club.

WOW!! You still got the 355's. Way to go Mark. Nice run. A few minor added touches and you too will be in the 11's.

I love my 3.55s, I love my 3.55s. love my 3.55s
Thanks Slim! I'm so buzzed off Nitto fumes right now, I'll be up half the night. I can't imagine with traction, what this car would have done!!

Nice job, my friend! :rasta: I wish I could have been there to see everyone run. Next time for sure. It sounds like everyone had a good time. I was checking theweather for the track's location all night-sure looked good for drag racing. How busy was the track?

Nice job!
How's the launch feel with the Trilogy and the 3000 stall combo? Aggressive? Do you have headers as well?

Wow, great times Marc!!
Very Nice:beer:
I like my 3.55s better than the 4.10s as well. The 4.10s were worth a .1 but they just don't feel as strong on the street with less than 3/4 pedal. I'm impressed with your resolve to try to stick with em. Hopefully fresh rubber alone will get you into the 11s. I'm sure that TC really helps.
Congrats!

Congrat's on the great 1/4 mile time you got. After last Nite I now see why widened rim's and Nitto's are a must for the track.

That is pretty sweet, especially with the 3.55's. Do you think the Torque Converter makes up for some of the potential acceleration of the 4.10's?

Mat,
Full exhaust, includes FMS shorties, high flow 3" cats, x pipe, FRPP DUal mode muff's, and res delete tips, 2.5" pipe. Custom bent/welded by TAF's boys.
The TC, its a love/hate with me. I dont like the combo on the street, I think it hurts driveability considerably, its lessened by a good tune, but still impacted. On the track a different story. I think it offsets the gears to some degree, hard to say I haven't run it yet without the TC. I am going to go back to the OEM TC, simply for the driveability.
With the 3.0 pulley on a Trilogy powered car, your in the boost so fast, the oem converter will work fine, no need to let the motor speed up to build boost. I think the centrifugal guys get much more benefit from a high stall TC, but not owning one of those setups I can't speak to that.
In short, I'd recommend spending your money on other things than a TC if your going Trilogy.

Thank you for clarifying the exhaust.
Sorry if this takes the thread in an undesired direction...just curious to know what the difference is between the track, and the street. Are your launches on the street too aggressive for you now? How does that differ from your launches at the track? I'm building my car in steps and piecees at a time...taking each of my mods one at a time. Patience is the key with me, I don't like to rush into anything so I'm doing homework. I know for a fact I prefer my car to react extremely aggressive at all times, whether it's on the street or the track. So i'm just curious about your 3000 stall driveability issues...they might be just what I'm after...

Don't let my post sway you. The 4.10s are great. I just like the long legged feeling of the 3.55s when tooling around town. When your on it, though, the 4.10s shine.
