I was digging up some old threads and found out about Factory Tech valve bodies, and heard the owners' praise about the product. The only Valve Body, according to their website, for the 4R70W is from 1992-1995. Although they DO have a "Seperator C Plate Kit" for 2001-2005 4R70W Transmissions.

It comes with: "new accumulator pistons, a new spring that does not need to be installed but can be for a firmer 1-2 shift and gaskets, everything you need except a filter and fluid. Also includes easy to follow instructions."

Is this as effective as a Valve Body? For the price, I would not think so, but this is a Transmission Talk section so can someone enlighten me? Is this just a Shift Kit? Will this also do the SAME thing my computer is doing with firmer shifts, or will this make it shift faster?

EDIT: Just noticed this. On Factory Tech's website their valve body for the 4r70w USED to be 1997-2005 and for a 4R75W. They have since changed the exact same page to 1992-1997 without 4R75W. Wonder what happened.

I asked about this when I first joined and basically stepped into a mine field with my opening question but noone answered my question. Hope you fair better.
