So I went to Toxic Hell (Taco Bell) a little bit ago. Outside temp was 47 degrees. Turned on the heater to 90 and warmed it up. I left it at that setting because my son was in the back set being fed by my wife. Anyhow, as I was idling in the drive through, my heater was blowing cold air! It stayed that way until I was back on the road and went back to burning hot air. Any suggestions? Is my heater going out? I hardly ever use it.

Check your coolant level. If that's OK, you've got some air trapped in a heater line. Here in Minnesota, we have no choice but to solve any heater problem!!!!

Mne has been doing the same thing. Guess this gives me more of a reason to do a full coolent flush with some water wetter.

Mostly what the others said but outside possibility, did you have it set to defroster and heater combo with the automatic feature on? In this climate control setting, once the sensor for cabin temp went above 90, it kicked in the a/c to bring the temp back down to 90. Just a thought.
