I`m thinking us impala guys could come when you guys are renting the track at milin if that would be ok ??

exactly....not to replace atlanta, but to perhaps have two shootouts a year for us to attend as we choose.

Do you think its worth the effort if we all work at it? This isnt something one or two guys can do by themselves. You are established on those forums, can you put feelers out again?

ok looks like we got about 20-25 impala guys so far and still counting.
We need to figure out witch track and when.
Some poeple are saying Martin mi. track would be better but i`m thinking we might get more poeple if we go to Milin but i don`t know yet ??

Martin is a nicer track. But, I agree, turnout would be better at Milan.

Ok, just got off the phone with a buddy of mine, he's really interestd in running in this program. Has anyone got a definate/maybe yet? We to get planning before it's too late. Have the planners kept in mind about Indy, Woodward and such, incase someone breaks.

I think someone needs to put a few dates on the table and we're ready to go. You'll get at least 15 to 20 marauders...most coming locally, so perhaps more.

Myself I do not prefer Milan. As far as my buddy, let me clear one thing up, I am in no way affiliated with big cowl, I do not know him, ( so far on our borad only one person has spoke up for him) nor have I ever met him. The most we have in common is a car, that's it. My buddy that I speak of is not from Michigan. I would vote for early June.

I'm not in love with Milan either. I know who to talk to there, and its convenient for the metro detroit guys, but that's about it. Martin is much nicer.

Your idea of the northern heavy weight shootout is very interesting. I think it is well worth looking into. Get me some numbers, as per cars and spectators and we can discuss the details of a potential track day.

In short, it was not enough for US131 to be the fastest ¼ drag strip in the entire state of Michigan; we wanted to create more than just an amazing adrenaline rush of the track. Currently we are in the process of considering a racing series proposal that integrates the entire state of Michigan into a battle of competition, with events such as the Fastest Club Shootout all the way to US131’s Street Wars, boldly declaring the fastest vehicles/clubs in ALL of Michigan. We are going well beyond the 60’ width of the track to create an atmosphere that is truly exciting and desirable.

We would like to share with you the list of the new events and attractions so that we can gather your opinions and thoughts on. This is a great opportunity for your members to voice their needs, so as to take a part in creating the premier street scene drag strip racing series designed specifically for your generation. I can send out the surveys via snail mail or e-mail for anyone that would like to participate. Feel free to call me with any questions.

Has anyone been in contact with the Charger/Magnum/300 folks over at the LXforums? My good buddy Ryan, owner of "QWKWAGN" is affiliated with some of the folks there. They've just formalized a local group and I'm certain some of them would be interested in partaking in this shootout.

Once we get our date set we will be contacting the 300/Magnum/Charger guys as well as the Cadillac guys. As soon as we get the date I will post it here and on their sites.
