When I bought my #3 Marauder last December, it came with a few problems and I accepted them. Been working on fixing them, and one problem (maybe it's two?) was the front Nudo leather seat cushions.

The original owner of this MM must have been a real heavyweight, or, he spent a lot of time behind the wheel. Considering it's 71K mileage in three years, maybe that's it?

Anyway, the driver's seat cushion is severly worn, stained, and stretched out beyond comprehension. Likewise, he was somewhat careless, leaving a cigarette burn in a very obvious location on the passenger seat. When the dealer said "previous owner was a non-smoker", first I asked for the missing ashtray, then I pointed to the hole, but I digress. "No problem" I said at the point of purchase, and that got me another grand off the asking price.

So...Just how expensive is this(these?) repair(s)? Not bad at all, gents, add it up?

If you need new seat cushion covers, order parts 3W3Z-5462900-AAE and 3W3Z-5462901-AAE. Your cost should be 141 bucks each if you earn a "10 percent above cost" discount from your friendly L/M parts dude. I don't recall which number is driver's or passengers, but your parts dude can figure this out. Install labor is 75 bucks a seat, but before you groan...These covers have the map pockets stolen from '03 300Bs and '04s!

Happy motoring...BTW...Is there a word for making a repair and getting a mod at the same time?

Restomod? Nah, used up.
Repromod?

Never thought they'd be that inexpensive.

I recall leaving a small round burn mark about the size of a BB in the drivers seat of my then new 81 T-Bird.... it was still there when I met up with it's current owner a few years ago....

Mac, the leather seat covers from the dealer are only $141.00 !?!?!

Thats a good price IMO. I had my drivers seat done under warranty

(hole on 'bum' part of the seat) But the damn passanger side looks

horrible compared to my side.

Sarge,

Hate to be stupid but gotta ask- these parts #'s are for driver and passenger seat covers only correct? What is the part # & cost for the seat back covers- the part that has the emboosed god's head logo?? Thanks for the info by the way and for all the knowledge you have shared with the board.

This is great news, my seat isn't bad but I do get weary of looking at those wrinkles. Maybe down the road, literally, some new seat covers and floormats could be on the way.

I'm talking about seat cushion covers only, the part you sit on. Regarding the cost/availability of the seat back, I don't know. Next time I visit the dealer, I'll ask. Meanwhile, try calling Ray (The Dealer)?

When I saw the insurance ticket after my wreck it was on the order of 600 bucks. It had to be replaced cuz the passenger side airbag went. I thought of saving some bucks by having it repaired, but they said the airbag replacement called for a new cover. Also, they would not give me the old one. I wanted to use the leather and emblem elsewhere....
