I posted this in the garage and got no action, I'm not sure where the best place for everything is just yet so bear with me my fellow Marauders.
New to this board, so if this has been beaten to death, my apologies. Please just link me to the threads.
I've searched the threads and seen problems with each. I like firsthand experience, but will take anecdotal tales of brothers girlfriends cousins brake troubles.
Baer brakes warping, TCE quality control issues with rotors, Brake Pad choices affecting overall package.
Price range of the kit you are referring to helps as well.
Any of these kits for Front and Rear? Or seperate only? Possible to get FR/RR for under $2k?
Help me out with the info guys. (Or Gals) Come to think of gals rockin a Marauder is HOT:marauder: :marauder:

TCE quality control issues with rotors,I have the TCE/Wilwood kit, as do Fourth Horseman and jdando, and I've not had any "quality control" issues, nor have I even heard of such...

It was in a post on this board, I was only asking about it and not insinuating anything.
All the post mentioned was that the Rotors were from another vendor and had warping issues. I haven't got the hang of this board quite yet to find the thread in question.

I got Baer's Decela Line. Direct replacement of stock. Mostly bling, but the performance was improved. It stopped better. Could it be cuz they were 'new'? Yes, it could. But stock had 13K which is stick pretty new. I got Akebono pads from Tire Rack. The whole lot cost about 500. The rotors came from AutoZone.
It may not be the kind of performance you're after, but it's and option.
Good Luck.

Everybody has different opinions on what's "best". I have the KVR 14" fronts and matching rear OEM size rotors. Very happy with the performance, somewhat disappointed in the frequent front rotor warpage. But for me it's no worse than the stockers were and braking power is much better than OEM.

Definitely interested in stopping performance. But if stock stopping distance is X, and the "upgraded" big brake kit is X-10/15ft, is that distance worth $2kish or $500.

Another option for you to consider:
Dennis Reinhart is organizing a group buy for a complete EBC Brakes package for $699.00. People on this site say that they are a quality product. I think that I will be ordering a set today.

I went with the Bear decel (oem size) and Ford police duty pads(ford doesn't make brake parts that I know of).
The cost was about $250 total.
I had the stock rotors turned @ 14K due to a wheel shake upon breaking.
The shake came back in about the same mileage.

Great, every option seems to warp. Except the Wilwood, right?

HwyCruiser has the Wilwoods on his car, too.
The only issue I've had is some pad transfer to the rotors that feels like a warped rotor but is not. This is probably due to the pad compound that I'm using and the way my car is used. A little attention with a ScotchBrite pad cures that problem.
The quality of the kit is top notch, and I can't say enough good things about the support I got from Todd @ TCE. Next car I get I'll definitely be going back to TCE for upgrades.
