Question about fuel injectors.

Can someone shed some light on the difference between the Green top 42 lb "Lightning" injector and the Blue top 42 lb "Cobra" injector??

The Cobra injectors I think are actually 39#'ers. We have a set on my dads blown 05 Roush.

They are the EV6 Style and the Green tops are EV1's

Yes, you are correct, stock Marauder is a 24# injector, EV1 connector.

The difference between EV1 and EV6 injectors is the connector. Here's a chart from Ford Racing on what's available.

Don't sweat the difference in connectors, there are several harness conversion kits available.

They mount differently on the rails too. My dads EV6's have little clips you have to install when you slide the injectors onto the rails.

Are you sure the stock Marauders have EV1 connectors? I found references to black pencil style injectors with purple tips... these are EV6 injectors with USCAR connectors (aka "EV6"). The Motorcraft site lists CM-5035 as the injector for 03-04 Marauders and 03-05 Aviators and they carry a 2002 Ford part #. I doubt Ford is still using EV1 injectors on production vehicles unless they are trucks/vans (03 E-250 still uses EV1/Jetronic injectors same as on the 01 Cobra). The 05-up Mustang GTs have the same style EV6 injector as the Marauder/Aviator: thinner EV6 injector with the USCAR connector.

So which is it? Did the early 300A Marauders use the injectors on the top (blue EV1/Jetronic) while the 300B and later Marauders use the black/purple EV6/USCAR injectors?
