Well, I was hoping to announce my purchase of a pristine Blue MM as my excuse for missing the picnic, but...
I had arranged with the buyer to fly up to Boston today (Sunday) to buy the car, but got an email from him last night telling me that someone had offered him a price several thousand dollars above my offer, and he sold it...:bigcry: :bigcry: :bigcry:
So...no picnic, no Blue Marauder, back to square one in my quest for MM#2...:alone:
But I hope y'all had fun!:beer:

Air fare was refundable, no monetary loss, but feelin'...kinda....BLUE!
Can't fault the owner though, I could have sealed it up a week ago with a flight to Boston, but dam work got in the way... Yes the owner was a member here, in fact I found the car in our classifieds. Hope the new owner does join, I'm too old to hold grudges...
Just gotta find another one, only restriction is it can't be silver,cuz I got one of those already!

What a bummer Jim...Sorry to hear about your loss of a sweet blue Marauder. A real beauty was at the picnic today. Also, I only have a couple of XL t-shirts left as well. Sorry. Gave 5 away at the pcinic raffle and had many other people wanted what I had left. They were black with silver lettering. I will get you on the list for the next batch I get printed up. Sorry for the double bummer.

Yeah!

I closed the deal on my Fiat and 15 minutes later had a guy claiming to be dying of cancer and willing to offer a thousand more than the other guys bid...

I had to stick with the first deal.

It was a deal afterall.

Besides, the guy who I made the first deal with was big, scary, and German.

That's okay. I still think about trading my Silver 03' in for a 04' DTR. I won't do it though because that would be very greedy. That and I'm happy with my car, except the brakes which are noisy. I have aftermarket rotors though and my car is racking up miles lately. I'm almost at 42,000 which isn't much but still.

How disgusting. I'm so sorry about the last minute thing. That really bites. But hey, you have to think it was just made to be. Something better will come along and likely won't be from a road-salt laden area like that one. It will end up being a blessing. That one just wasn't meant to be!
